Cut down by hand.
This rail and fittings are very similar to those available in Wilco for the same price - Wilco also supply a central support in their kit.The tube supplied had been cut down to the size we ordered from a longer length, and the ends were not very square, but luckily I still had to take some more off the length to fit our wardrobe. I also noted that both of the lengths we ordered were between 1 and 2 mm short - not a problem for us, but if you needed the length you ordered, the tube might be a little loose.
