There is no rigidity to the mat, so it's not like you can pick it up to dump it. It's meant to be wiped down. But it is great and the perfect size for my decrepit weenie dog who was constantly leaving dog food all around his food bowl! Also really love the color.

I purchased the pet bowls for our cat,the size is perfect for her. The bowls remove easily from the silicone base for cleaning and the base catches the small kibbles and any water she paws out of the bowls. I like the bright green color. this has helped preventing messes more from accidentally kicked bowls by my blind wife (G) but it stays put and it is priced well.
