Bgears Fan Filter 120mm 2 Pieces Pack

These fan filters are the bomb-diggity. I use them on almost all of my builds now, I put one on every intake fan. Most fans that I put into my builds ARE intake fans these days, with the hopes of creating a filtered, positively-pressurized PC case that rejects dust at every possible point of entry. I've had my current machine, with two 120mm fans (front and rear, both intake, both filtered with THESE filters) operating more or less constantly, in a pretty dusty state, and the interior of my machine is nearly flawless. There's a little dust, to be sure, but CONSIDERABLY less than I would expect after nearly a year of use. The filters have more than done their job.The mounting mechanism is good, but could be better - sometimes fan screw heads are too small, and won't adequately secure the bracket to the fan. The holes will just pass over the screw head and it'll fall off, which is frustrating, but for the most part standard PC fan screws work just fine to secure these. I recommend these to all of my friends and customers who have no intention of overclocking - helps protect the longevity of your equipment at minimal cost.I haven't used the 80mm or 90mm as much as I've used the 120mm ones, but my feelings on all of them are pretty much the same. I'd like to see a manufacturer incorporate filters that could be directly affixed to the case via silicone mounts, so as to be a sound dampening solution AND protecting the fans themselves from dust accumulation, etc.

Unfortunately there's a raised well (like a cofferdam) where the mounting screw holes are, which take up about half the length of your standard case fan screw. Between that and going through the case, there wasn't enough screw left to mount a case fan. If it didn't require longer screws, it wouldn't have been an issue - most folks who are going to attach this to a case have surplus case fan screws - but since regular case fan screws *don't* work, they should have provided longer ones that do.

I would have given these 5 stars had they come with case screws. I understand typically that they'd be used along with fans so you'd, technically speaking, have screws - but if you're buying them simply to cover intake vents that don't currently have a fan installed to them, then you'll have to buy the screws separately or pull x2 from another fan that you've got mounted with x4.The filters themselves are nice, I would like the mesh to be a tad finer to keep actual dust out (these likely wouldn't keep but 50% of the dust out, but will keep pet hair, your hair, and small, medium, and large bits from getting in, but these won't be blocking many tiny particles that float in. I'd also like to point out, don't expect heavy duty plastic. These things are super, super flimsy. I put a finger through one pulling them off the first time, and the way they lock on you HAVE to force them off of the case. Don't expect this to be something you can take off and on, maybe vacuum it to clean it.

Great filters to use on the intake fans of a computer case. You can find them for a little less, but I have no complaints with this particular 2 count filter pack as provided by Bgears. These use a lower restriction foam from other filters, but still catch a lot of dust. Filters are easy to remove, and then to wash with soap and water to remove dust. They will keep the inside of your computer clean and relatively dust free. A little dust will always build up over time though. Just blow that out with a can of compressed air every 3 to 6 months.

It works great for what it is. It gives the fans plenty of airflow, filters out a small amount of light and keeps the smell down a very tiny amount.

The filters themselves are fine, but be warned that this product is missing information on what exactly is included.First of all, you are paying for a pack of TWO filters, not one filter like I assumed. Sounds like an even better deal unless you are me and bought two quantities of this product without knowing that each quantity is actually a pack of two. So now I got 4 filters when I only wanted 2. I didn't see any information in regards to this when I purchased.Secondly this doesn't include anything else, such as the required screws that you will need in order to even use these filters. Which means if you buy these you will have to go the hardware store and pick up some screws in order to actually mount them on your fans.

Was very happy with this filter. However, it did not come with the screws to attach it, if you can believe that? That's why only 4 stars. I had to go to hardware store to get the screws, luckily they had a size that would work. Why would anyone ever sell or ship these without the screws????????????? They snap open nicely... and being as I mounted mine on the outside of the case, I simply vacuum then from the outside, I do not even need to open them up. No screws seriously?

This is exactly what I needed for my PC case. Very easy to install, use and clean. The inner part gets screwed onto the case and the filter with the top cover is pressed onto this assembly. When the filter requires cleaning, just pop off the outer cover and wash the filter material. That said, the filter material itself is quite thin, but for better filtration, the material can be changed. However, there will be slight reduction in the airflow. A stronger fan would be required to compensate this. I am satisfied with this and will definitely recommend it.

These will restrict some airflow, but will do better dustproofing and airflow than any hole-punched sheets. Surprisingly well put together: you screw in an inner frame to the fan, then the filter material and grille together snap onto the fan. Cleaning it is as simple as pulling off the front part and wiping, blowing off or washing the foam insert. Would buy again.

Noticed the filter was damaged after the fact so not sure if I did it when installing or was torn when purchased. Either way was exactly as described and of good quality.

The screws that came with my fans were not long enough to go through the filter and reach the fan. Including four screws in the package would have cost them a few more cents. Now, I cant use the filters until I get my hands on 2 x four long fan screws.

Los filtros son gruesos y no permiten un buen flujo de aire. También los espacios para los tornillos no se ajustan bien. Producto muy mediocre.

Convenient and solid if they are what you're looking for...
