Kanjo Styling Mudd: Matte Finish | Kanjo Lifestyle Boken ~ Adventurous Styling Mud 4 ounces

My hair stylist started using Kanjo Styling Mudd to style me up after each of my haircuts and it looks great. This has quickly become my favorite product and has replaced all other gels, pastes and pomades that I have used. The previous product I used was d:fi styling cream, but for reasons I'll explain below, Kanjo has become my favorite.The syling mudd has a great smell and a very nice texture. I've used some other pastes that awkwardly come out in one big goop, and then after I rub my hands together might leave little pieces. This has a nice consistency that very smoothly and instantly spreads evenly across your hands as you rub them together. After that, the product is ready to go. My work schedule is crazy and in the morning I don't have time to perfect my hair. One reason I love this product is because it has a good hold but is absolutely forgiving. I can style it quickly, and if I need to make changes, it is easy to do. The problem I had with d.fi was it would sometimes cause my hair to form into a tight unmovable crisp, and if I wanted to switch something up, it was almost impossible without having to rinse out my hair. 5/5 for ease of use.As far as finish, this product leaves a light matte look that leaves your hair looking very natural and like you didn't just put a ton of product in there. I don't like products that give you the shiny wet look. This product does NOT do that. Some people might not care about this, but I work with older professionals and I care about the little details. 5/5 for look.

This mudd is really fantastic, one of my alternatives to other waxes and pomades when I want a more natural look and feel rather than the superglue sheen some pomades can give. The hold lasts for a long time and leaves the hair feeling very soft but still malleable throughout the day. Also note this is one of the few paraben free hair products out there, so this is perfect for folks with sensitive scalps as well.

I've had a lot of fun trying this, it's definitely not like any of the pomades I've used before. It's incredibly easy to scoop, spread across your palms (no need to emulsify), and work into the hair. A little bit at a time will set you right. Interesting texture, I'd describe it as lotion-like, but fibrous.It's got presence in the hair, I wouldn't call it a strong hold but you can keep the general shape for most of the day. It restyles well though, just run a comb through it and you're set for a few more hours. You never feel "out of control" if that makes sense.I love the nourishing feeling you have on washout. If you don't shampoo regularly and only rinse, this is perfect.The scent is an acquired taste, you'll either love it or hate it. It grew on me after a week of applying, but it's not strong enough to be noticed after 30 minutes.Overall, it's definitely quirky compared to normal pomades but it's daily driver material. Hope this company's offerings expand soon!

Great texturizing product for my fine hair!

I have been using this mudd for several years now in conjunction with the Kanjo hairspray almost daily. It's my go to for styling my hair. The mudd has a really nice smell to it and holds hair for a long period of time. The other nice thing is that it feels lightweight and doesn't look shiny which is the main reason why I love it. Would highly recommend this product to anyone. Do not hesitate to purchase.
