A Little SPOT of Kindness!

This book would be a wonderful way to help make a classroom of young children into life long allies to help others. The illustrations are clever and would engage the children. Many examples of how children can be helpful are provided and a spot card that could be copied and given to the children. You might want children to draw a small picture of how they were helpful to some one at school and at home each day and then share with others. Dots are often available at the Dollar Tree. After reading the book to the children, you could leave the book in a safe place where two children at a time could discuss it. Hopefully all the class will be involved in being kind to others now and for their lives.

I love it. This is going to be my favorite book and will share with all the kids in my life. Would love to purchase a stack.

Best book ever for kids to help teach as well as promote kindness! I bought dot stickers and any time my kids are kids give them one to add to their paper they’re coloring or just stick it to their hand! I also use the dot stickers on their reward charts and emphasize what they did kind to ear that as well so it’s a double whammy! Also every aspect of this book is positive! Some books throw in negative examples but I try to keep it positive so this book is great! So good!

I absolutely love these books! It’s started with I’m NOT Just a Scribble and now I can’t stop getting as many as i can on my kindle! My daughter and my preschool class love when i read them these books. They had so much fun with the Scribble book I can not wait to read them this one! Everyone can do (or use) a little spot of kindness!

I am a huge fan of Diane Alber and use all of her books in the preschool classroom, where I assistant teach, the kids love them ❤️❤️❤️I am so excited to share this next book with them, we talk about kindness and feelings all year long. This book will be a great addition in helping spread kindness in our room.I Love it 🥰

Teacher- I used at the beginning of the year in a 6th grade class on how to be kind to each other. They loved it. We wrote on hearts afterwards a kindness statement.

A Little Spot of Kindness, like all other SPOT books, was amazing, relevant, and an essential learning tool for my students and my own children. They are amazing to use for social skills, life skills, whole-group lessons, and all those teachable moments in between. Must buy!

I bought this for my kindergarten class. I also bought some colored dots stickers to pass out to go with the story. My kids love the concept of having the dot on the back of their hand as a reminder to be kind. Great story with valuable lessons and pertinent examples.

The Little Spot books are fantastic to use teaching kids about different emotions and emotion regulation. I have almost all of them and use them daily in my psychology practice. Highly recommended!

Five stars for the story. Great read to children about kindness, cleverly presented in a way that they’ll both enjoy and understand. However, I’ve taken a star off as I will say I am disappointed to pay £9.20 for this “Paperback” The book size (hidden from the main description) is 21.59 x 0.2 x 21.59 cm, the cover is flimsy glossy card and the pages total 36 (but that also includes the title, copyright, presentation and 4 blank pages) are about 100gsm (ish). Normally this type of book you would expect to pay about a fiver! The hardback is almost £20 - that is ridiculous!! Since buying, I’ve discovered this book is included in the box set of 8 paperbacks “A Little SPOT Takes Action” currently costing £37.48 on Amazon which works out to £4.68 each. Do you now get my point? - A “good” piece of marketing I’d say, together with daylight robbery for buying one book!! The book is published in USA but printed in Great Britain by Amazon

A quick and enjoyable read that reminds and encourages ways to be kind. Would be valuable for teaching student well being and easy to incorporate into activities.Love this author!

Daughter LOVES these, "Little Spot of...." books. She's enjoying collecting all of them. Easy to read and great messages for all!
