Best controller for Switch
I wasn't expecting this to feel this good in my hands, so I was very pleasantly surprised. It fits in your hands better than the cheap Nintendo adaptor they sell, and not only that, but for me the icing on the cake was being able to add on the thumbstick height adaptors. You just pop or clip them in on top of the el-cheapo thumbsticks that are on the joycons, and they now work better (in my opinion) than the Xbox controller.

Slightly bigger than the nintendo oem grip, but has a battery which is great. longer play time
Why is it that nintendo hasn't made something like this? Honestly it is a great thing to have. No more needing to take out my joy cons in order to charge. Having this controller is great because it gives you so much more play time without needing to unplug your joycons. The joycons can also charge while playing used as well. This controller has an 1800 mAh battery so you have at least one full charge per joycon. The battery light indicator is in the back of the controller. The is nice as well is that there are light indicators on the top to tell you if your joycons are charging of if they're full on battery which super nice. The joycons are slide in through the top just like the nintendo shell except the shell is a little longer than the original. The material does feel a bit cheaper than the OEM joycon grips but it grips pretty well. The joycons can be used while it is being charged and it does not hinder the performance of the joycons in anyways. It does charge via a type c cable that is provided. You can plug it directly into your switch but be aware charging time can take up to two hours and you can also charge the joycons while charging this grip. The type c cable does feel a little cheap so I actually ended up changing out the cable for something else to give it a bit more length as the cable provided is not too long. The charging time varies depending on your medium however I do say it charges my joycons within two hour of being plugged in which is super nice. I am unsure if actually stops charging once it reaches full. You get tons of extra hours with this grip but make sure you take breaks for less eye strain. The joycons lock pretty well into place and can easily be moved if I wanted. Regardless of hand size this grip works pretty well from what I can tell. I think it looks the best with gray joycons but any nintendo joy cons will work with these. Overall I think this grip is really a smart idea and a bit disappointed ninendo did not do this. The grips is pretty sturdy, provides a ton of extra power, and improves longer game play. The only down side is the material does feel a little cheap.

good price point, no problems with snapping in place
I was worried reading other reviews both the joycons would not lock in place, but mine do. Not sure how secure the lock is but they hold. Love being able to keep the joycons on it and being able to charge the joycons.

Works, but it's what you pay for.
The first one I recieved didn't work. A replacement came pretty quickly (and I didn't have to pay for any extra shipping) and the new one worked. However, it appeared different than the first, and it isn't as comfortable to hold. Overall though, it does what I need it to for the price, which is charge the Nintendo Switch controllers. Once they're charged I put them back in the official Nintendo grip because it's more comfortable to use.

Still works with grip removed!
I'm writing this to let others know that the back "grip" part can be removed without affecting the charging ability. All circuitry is contained inside the "rectangle" part and not the "grip" part. To separate the two parts, all you need is a small phillips-head screw driver. Remove the 4 screws on the rectangle part, then remove 4 internal screws (inside rectangle part) to remove the grip. Don't waste time on the 4 screws on the grip itself, as they only hold the grip together. Once separated, there is a small hole in the rectangle piece exposing a miniscule amount of wiring, but this is not dangerous or damage-prone, just not aesthetically pleasing.I already have grips on my joy cons (see pictures) but I wanted a handheld/portable way to charge them as well. This was one of the cheapest options, so I decided to buy it and see if I could remove the grip itself.I can't speak to long-term quality since I just barely got this but I'm very happy I have a flat, portable joy con charger now!P.S. I moved the "Charging Grip" sticker to the rectangle piece since I plan on using that piece by itself, but wanted to keep the voltage information attached. That is why the sticker is sideways/damaged in the pictures (all my doing). The sticker was originally located on the back of the "grip" piece. I may move it once more to cover the wire hole.

Mostly works fine
I bought this because:A - I have big hands and wanted a larger controller.B - Sometimes between the two of us switching of over the course of a day off a controller can run for a while and I wanted an easy way to keep it charged without messing around with swapping joy cons.On those two fronts it works great. My only complaint is that while one of our two sets of joy cons lock into place perfectly. The left one from the second set doesn't. So this really only works with one set of controllers.

Good Grip
After playing with the official grip for almost a year, I decided to buy this charging grip. It works great, but takes some getting used to if you used the official product. The joycons sit slightly higher so it might require some adjustments in your muscle memories. The grip itself feels much lighter due to maybe a cheaper plastic used. I don’t think that is a bad thing though, because it makes it more portable.Battery-wise, I’m not sure if I’m using it correctly or not. I haven’t noticed a discernible extension of battery life, since the joycons already have a long battery life.Overall, it’s a good joycon grip.

recharges best when not using the controller
The 6' cord is sturdy and nice.It works best for me to recharge the controllers when I set them down after a gaming session.Although you can use the controller while it's plugged in, the plug (for me) often comes loose, even with just the slightest movements. If you want to re-wiggle/re-plug it back in every couple minutes, that's certainly possible, but kinda annoying.
