Bought this replacement power supply for my Astro AI 6L mini fridge. I started getting a problem when the green light started to blink and the fan was not spinning. This replacement part was super easy to install, and I only had to cut four wires. Super easy and works well!!!

I use it to operate my QRP Packet Radio station. An HT at 5 watts, TNC , the optional weather radio and a step down 5V regulator for USB to charge my cellphone. This little power supply has enough amps to operate many more simultaneous devices. There are many DC devices that do not need a full 13.6VDC to function properly. That said, I would not use it to operate mobile radios that require voltage outputs in the 13VDC plus area.

I initially used this power supply for testing the feasibility of a small computer power supply replacement and it worked great, even surviving an accidental AC bridge. It did everything I needed it to do.That being said I ended up going with a different power supply for my computer project as I wanted more industrial certifications, warranty, and efficiency guarantees.I would have no problem recommending this power supply for anything not considered "sensitive" electronics (I mean come on, it's less than $15 - protecting expensive equipment is worth it, don't cheap out on a power supply).

Used to replace the fried supply in a mini refrigerator. You know the tiny Thermoelectric desktop ones.Two went out on me. Always the PSU, wired this one up in the last fridge and even added a light. It's been going strong since.

Bought it because people said it could be used to replace one of those modules in the mini fridges and it did!

These are nice little isolated power supplies that can power projects with a little more current draw. Not many of my projects take over an amp.

It seems to be isolated as stated. Measured 50v AC on the primary heatsink wrt earth ground and 10v AC on the output heatsink wrt earth ground. Didn't determine the source impedance of that voltage as I was concerned about causing it to blow up. Measured output was 12.6v dc with no load, when a 100ma load was applied.....14.6v dc .....hmmmmThe supply is being used to replace the ps that quit in a Sauna after 10 or 15 yrs. All it does is provide house power to drive the control displays and a couple relays that switch on some quartz heaters and reading lights inside the unit. This supply is on whenever the sauna has power applied. My new CONOPS.....leave it unplugged until it is to be used.This power supply is just a bridge until I get the original one fixed ...... s/b and easy fix, the front end wasn't switching. The PWM control for the original p/s was $0.66 at Digikey.....got a couple on the way.

Picked up a mini fridge at Goodwill and replaced the power supply and fan to get a great looking and running little unit. The fan that comes with the fridges are noisy but easy to replace with a computer fan. The power supply is easy to replace with this board. No soldering required. Perfect for my need. Son loves the mini fridge. If I can do it so can you.
