My dog is picky and loves this
Get this if u have a hot dog. My dog has back issues but he loves to lay on the floor bc he's hot. He absolutely loves this. I bought another one for when we travel. It's cushioned and as far as I know the only one on the market that is. Read the instructions tho. It's worth it bc u have to be careful when u go to move it if it's filled. Also get one of those 4 cup measuring cups on here for cheap. It makes it go faster when ur filling up 40 cups of water.

Takes a bit of time to adjust
30 lb dog for reference. She is a bit skiddish and distrustful of the noise the mat made if she stepped on it. It probably took her a good 2-3 months to overcome her fear, but now she opts to sleep on the cooling mat over sleeping in my bed with me. I was so close to returning it since she was still scared of it a month in. Glad I decided to keep it.

The 1970's Want Their Waterbed Back!
The concept is just like a vintage waterbed. The cold wicks the heat from the dog's body. Perfect? No. Once I filled up a large mat for my elderly Great Pyrenees, I couldn't move it! It must have weighed 30 lbs. What would I do when I want to vacuum or move it from room to room? No thanks. The waterless cooling pads work much better for large breed dogs simply because you're not trying to fill a waterbed!

My small dog refused to use this bed
Nice product easy to use, well made, but my small dog who get hot hates it. It is very easy to set up and a bit harder to empty. I thought it was cool and comfortable. Maybe, it needs a cover but my shitz shu / Yorkie thought it was terrifying.

BEST PURCHASE EVER
One of our dogs has hip dysplasia and valley fever. We bought one of these beds because she was laying on the hard tile floor instead of her foam bed to enjoy cool. We feared she wouldn't try it because the surface is noisier and plastic instead of fleece. NOPE, she took right to it and almost never uses other beds now. I had to write this because, since we got it about 1 week ago, we've been moving the bed between the bedroom and family room morning and night, but this morning we forgot it. I heard her moaning and saw her leave the family room and head to the bedroom. Then I heard her bark. I went in and she was sitting on the bed making it very clear what she was telling me. I brought the bed out and she gave me a kiss and laid down on the bed. Blown away. She's also more agile and active since we got it - reduced inflammation and pain? I ordered a second bed so we don't need to move it. And, I chose a bigger one so our other dog, who also has valley fever that has deteriorated 2 vertebra might enjoy it too. So worth the money!!!

Useless for the dogs. Maybe will use as a large human ice pack.
The jackahuahua and cockapoo avoid this contraption for reasons unknown to me. Maybe they don’t like the unsettling feeling of what feels like and sounds like a sloshing water bed? Who knows. The idea of having a cool bed for them to lay on in the summer heat is always enchanting, however this particular item is not working for us here. The darn thing is warm. Maybe it is the environmental situation here or the microclimate? It’d be good to precisely know what are the criteria is for making this bed feel cool to the touch.I decided to keep this container to use as a large ice pack for me to possibly use on my own body. The opening is wide enough to accept ice cubes. I am even more prepared for the global warming.

Best purchase for my boys!
We have been buying these cooling comfort beds for a few years now. Ours have lasted, except with the latest puppy he liked to chew the edges. Now that he is out of that stage, we have the largest and the medium size. They will lay On which ever mat is available, they love these mats!

Dog won't go near it - won't even step on it.
Dog won't go anywhere near it. She won't even step on it. She tears most things up but she avoids this so much it's one of the few things she has not torn up.
