Nice for traveling

I bought this so I could take Xylitol with me to Europe. I did not want to carry an unidentified white powder in my luggage, and the other sizes are too large for a two week trip. This worked well.

My new sugar.

Im hooked. I wanted to stop using sugar in my coffee and tried a bunch of other things and this is the only thing that works perfectly because of the taste and it’s half the carbs. It’s more expensive than sugar, but I don’t use it for anything else like baking, etc., it’s all natural and comes from trees so that is a plus as I had a mental and physical distain for bad tasting and gross substitutes for sugar. This xylitol is a winner for me and it also is not mixed with other popular sugar substitutes. It tastes and looks like sugar. Yum. Will buy again.

Derived from Birch not Corn, but expensive

Pretty expensive, but it isn't made from corn, hopefully. Fine granules.

Great product!

I love it! Tastes just like sugar and no aftertaste. Bonus great for teeth and kills harmful plaque.

Same taste as sugar- but beware

I loved the taste, no after taste no chemical taste. Tastes like sugar. Downside, you cannot use EXACTLY like sugar. If you think you want to add a lot of this to any type of food or drink, beware because you might spend your time in the bathroom. I read the reviews to be clear, so I was warned. Therefore I was very cautious when using. I bought this for drinking my coffee so I usually take 2 tsp of cane sugar in my coffee. So I substituted that with 2 packages of the product. An hour or so later I realized I was very gassy and felt like I had to go to the bathroom. And that was just 2 PACKETS! So next time I made coffee I used one packet and one sugar. I guess it’s too much trouble for me, but I do have to say that the taste is superior. Just like sugar.

Tastes great! Excellent value!

I used it to make sugar free flavored coffee sweeteners with stevia! It’s soooo good! Make sure you use a recipe tho’. You’ll use too much xylitol and make it too sweet! Mixes well with everything, I use it for mouthwash too! This is a good one!

xylitol linked to higher risk of heart attack, stroke

Details on the study of xylitol and heart healthIn an analysis of more than 3,000 subjects in the United States and Europe, the researchers reported that high levels of circulating xylitol were associated with an elevated three-year risk of cardiovascular events.A third of subjects with the highest amount of xylitol in their plasma were found more likely to experience a cardiovascular event. The team conducted pre-clinical testing to confirm the findings. They discovered xylitol caused clotting in platelets and heightened risk of thrombosis. The researchers also tracked platelet activity from subjects who ingested a xylitol-sweetened drink versus a glucose-sweetened drink. They found every measure of clotting ability significantly increased immediately following ingestion of xylitol but not glucose. The team said the study had several limitations, including that clinical observation studies demonstrate association and not causation. They said more studies are needed to assess the long-term cardiovascular safety of xylitol.
