Hard to find in stores
This pricey filter is hard to find in stores. Buying online with Amazon Prime and free delivery is great. Recommended replacement part (not a knock-off), good price, quick delivery. No searching all over town. Win-win!

Aprilaire furnace filters clean the air in your home
I upgraded our furnace to Aprilaire filtration. The difference has been remarkable. The 510 or now I use the 513 filter stops even the fine dust particles and lasts for 6 months before I change it. Less changing of filters and cleaner air in my home.

Pricey
Fit our A/C unit perfectly. These are required by Carrier for our units and the A/C installer said these will certainly not negate any warranty issue with the unit itself. Very easy to install by a homeowner. There is no need to have a tech put these in unless you have access or a personal issue that would prevent you from changing the filters. A high price for what they are made from but your A/C will work as designed and probably allow the units to function as designed for years to come, saving repair costs later on. If these are required by the manufacturer, do not substitute with some inferior brand to save you grief if you have a warranty claim. I was able to change out 3 of these in about 10 minutes total.
