MTB Road XTECH HB-100 MTB Road Line Pulling Hydraulic Disc Brake Calipers Front & Rear Mountain Bike Disc Brake E-Bike Disc Brake Set

I used two of these on my lectric 3.0 step thru - Here are a couple things to note: The 3.0 uses the brake labelled "Rear" on BOTH wheels. Install is really easy as long as you have a long handle 5mm hex. On the back tire, you can just use the mounting bracket that came with the bike. On the front wheel, I had to swap out the bracket for the one that came with the brake, and also be careful to slide the brake over as far from the spokes as possible, but I did get it to clear with no fuss.Squeal is totally gone, which is great. As to stopping power I did not notice any difference between the mechanical ones and these.Please note that I am NOT a bike mechanic, I am just letting folks know what worked for me. If you have any doubt about installation, you should for sure go to a bike shop and have them do it.Happy riding!

The included mounting brackets didn't work with my wife's Ecotric bike, but fortunately the calipers fit with the original brackets.Once I got them mounted, they work far better than the stock brakes. While they are partially hydraulic, the rear brake still has a sponginess due to the length of cable from the lever to the caliper.I recommend them as a nice upgrade that cost far less than a full hydraulic system.

What I like about my "Red Anodized" Catazer MTB Road HB-100 Cable-Pulled Hydraulic Close-System Disc Brakes was that it was VERY easy to install with a straight-forward disc brake adjustment design after the install...It was literary (2) two bolts per disc brake caliper to remove and install on my "Custom-Built" 2012 Black accented in Red "Catrike 700 Racing Recumbent" using the large 203 mm rotors that came with a set of "Black-Colored" Avid BB7 Mechanical Disc Brakes in which were my first experience with disc brakes. I have been riding my "Catrike 700 Racing Recumbent since June 7, 2012, with OVER 15,000 miles per my "Garmin Edge 800 Cycling GPS" which I purchased when I personally built my "Trike" which has a built-in odometer as of the writing of this review...Note: My Catrike 700 Racing Recumbent has a set of 406c/20 in. disc-compatible wheels on the "front" and a 700c/27 in. on the "rear" behind my head, which has no brakes on the rear full-carbon FFWD Disc Clincher Wheel. Note: I purchased the "Red Anodized" version to match the color scheme of my trike which is a SWEET color that complimented my riding attire/clothing and my trike recumbent which is "Red, Black, and White". Note: Replacing the Disc Brake Pads on the Catazer Hydraulic Brakes is easier to replace than the "Avid BB7 Disc Brakes", in which you don't have to remove the disc calipers off your bike which is a "Major-Plus" for me and my personal experience with disc brake.....AND I MUST SAY ALSO THE PRICE OF THE CATAZER HYDRAULIC BRAKES ARE EXTREMELY COST-EFFECTIVE COMPARED TO THE OTHER HYDRAULIC DISC SYSTEMS ON THE MARKET!!!!!UPDATED PRODUCT REVIEW: After the install of the CATAZER MTB ROAD HB-100, here is my impression of this product after testing and riding yesterday morning.....Excellent stopping power, in fact, the stopping power on the CATAZER MTB ROAD HB-100 is much BETTER than my Avid BB7's which only has (1) one piston compared to the CATAZER MTB ROAD HB-100, which has (2) pistons, which to my opinion is a BETTER option that it DOES NOT wrap/bend your rotors from one side over time of use.....Plus I like the variety of colors the CATAZER MTP ROAD HB-100 come in....I chose the "RED" anodized look to match my personal color scheme of my "Custom-Built" 2012 Catrike 700 Racing Recumbent set up...NEW UPDATE: As of today, January 24, 2022.....After riding/using the Catazer MTB Road HB-100 Hydraulic brakes on my "Custom-Built" 2012 Catrike 700 Racing Recumbent since I purchased them, I would say they are an "Amazing" well-built cable-actuated Hydraulic brake system with a 100% BETTER STOPPING power than my previous mechanical l disc-brakes which were the Avid BB7's, that came "Stock" on my trike. I also notice that I have "EVEN" brake pressure on both of my "Front" disc brakes compatible wheels which are a pair of 20in./406c wheels when actuating/applying the disc brakes when I am preparing to stop!!!!SWEEET....You can't go wrong with a set of these cable-actuated hydraulic disc brakes because of the "fraction" of the cost and easy maintenance/adjustment and brake-pad replacement of the hydraulic disc brakes and I must add, the multiple colors the hydraulic disc-brakes come in!!!.. EXCELLENT PRODUCT!!!!

Installs in minutes, fixed the sequel from the original brakes because it grips from both pads, but there's not much bite with these and overall stopping power seems only slightly better. I am used to a full hydrolic brake on a much lighter mountain bike so maybe my expectations are too high.... I'd recommend though in some limited uses like mine.

I have these and the more expensive Juniper calipers on two different bikes, they seem about the same once on and the brake is adjusted properly, will see how they hold up over time, been good so far, I'll update this in a year or so or sooner if anything bad happens.

This is my second pair of brake calipers because they only lasted me about three years. So replacing them at the price range isn't to bad on the wallet. If you want better brakes spend more on them. The rubber seals are the failing points on this type of caliper.

Bought these for my fat tire electric bike for an upgrade, really easy to install and they work good once I burned them in. Good buy.

I am in the process of turning my bicycle into an E-bike. Awaiting most parts for the conversion, though I got these calipers a day early. Was surprised on how they were so close to my exiting manual calipers. Was able to mount the front caliper with the existing mounting hardware, very nice... Hoping the rear caliper will go this slick.

Despite a very long delivery to Ireland, it was worth the wait. The stock brakes I had on my Fiido M1 Pro were useless and the Xtech brakes made an enormous improvement. Brakes stopped squeaking, the braking power improved and they look awesome. Easy enough to install and come with some extra brackets and screws. Good contact with the seller too but expect some delay as package is shipped from China.

My wife's ebike came with Nutt mechanical disc brakes which were a nightmare to adjust. They would rub against the rotors unless very carefully tweaked and then they would squeak and squeal when applied even after bedding in and cleaning/sanding rotors and pads. These cable actuated hydraulic were very easy to install, required minimal adjustment, and are a lot quieter. I am very happy with the purchase and my wife loves it that her brakes no longer sound like fingernails on a blackboard!!

Leider bin ich aufgrund so vieler positiver Rezensionen auf diesen "billigen" China Artikel herein gefallen. Die Bremsen waren kinderleicht zu installieren aber hatten von Anfang an wenig bremskraft. Bin mit Fahrrad und eingebauten Bremsen zum Fahrradladen meines Vertrauens gefahren, da die Bremskraft immer schlechter wurde. Dort wurde mir gezeigt, dass das Öl in den Bremsen ausgetreten ist und zu allem Übel auch noch auf die Bremsscheiben gelaufen ist. Dies ist vorne und hinten passiert. Fallt bitte nicht auf die vielen positiven Rezensionen rein und bestellt diese Bremsen nicht. Lg und allen Radfahrern eine sichere Fahrt gewünscht:)

Don't expect to have a shorter braking distance and the handle to be easier to squeeze. They are easy to install and my nd of look good, that's about it

Had pure wire actuated brakes b4. They sucked and squeeled despite adjustments etc.These are night and day better. Quiet and will skid the tires.
