Chucking Reamer Adjustable Hand Reamer Adjustment Range 21-23mm

I used it to ream a bicycle seat tube to fit a dropper post. It was very finicky to set up but once going, it got the job done. Occasionally I was forced to rotate backwards to unjam it (a sin with reamers) but it accepted the abuse. It’s not a fast tool to use (1/2 turn at first, 1/4 turn as you approach final diameter. Chuck size is pretty large, but I found a 5/8ths 12 point socket worked. You should ream by hand, but I used a drill and the reamer never broke. The drill did, but not the reamer. Anyway, for the money, a great tool.

Used to final size Tractor Loader Backhoe king pin replacement bushings.Took my time sneaking up on the pin dimension and this inexpensive too and it worked great, smooth working king pins with no play.I also disagree with the poster that complained about the edge sharpening extending the full knife length. This is a hand turned tool . By having a taper cut that changes to a somewhat square cut I believe they were attempting to reduce the chance of the knives over cutting and jamming/gouging into the material and reduce the twisting force needed to turn the tool.I do not know how this tool will work on steels only used it on bronze, but I would recommend it for bronze king pin bushing sizing for non production work. Great price as well.

Most of the other reviewers seemed to know exactly what this reamer could be used for and how to set it up. I did not, so my comments here will hopefully be helpful to other novices like myself.It turns out that this reamer can be used only on through holes. (Luckily for me, that was my application.) It is necessary to run the reamer through the hole to complete the process.The cutting blades are rather long, but much of that length is smaller in diameter than the actual cutting section of the blade. The "cutting" edges on the small diameter front portion of the blades are actually not straight, so that the tool appears to be very poorly made at first glance. But I found that the rear portion of the blades were quite well finished with a consistent diameter along them. My reamer has 6 blades, so measuring its diameter was straightforward.What I had the most trouble with was adjusting it, until I figured out how it works. The cutting blades are actually inserted into tight fitting longitudinal slots in the center rod, and these blades must be slid along the length of the rod in order to adjust the cutting diameter. In my case, some of the blades did not want to move until I backed off the adjusting nuts, applied some machine oil, and tapped on the stuck blades with a hammer through a brass drift until they were freed up. After I got them to move, it was not hard to adjust the diameter.The ends of the blades have "tail sections" that interface with collars on the adjusting nuts so that the nuts will hold them into the slots as well as move them along. These tail sections did not match the nuts very well for a couple of blade ends, so I found that I had to pay particular attention to ensure that those blade ends were actually captured by the nut when setting the diameter.

Worked just fine. I saw a review that claimed the one that came in was a 5 blade one, but thankfully that is not what I got. Not gonna say you don't run the risk of a 5 blade one coming in the mail, so until this seller updates the listing to say they are all 6 blade, I wouldn't assume.

Did the job. Reemed a old-school gt mtb for a modern size.

OK product, you get what you pay for. Some of the blades were stuck "too tight", penetrating oil helped, but they always had to be forced as diameter was enlarged. Threading on the arbor was rough, End nut on the screw end was over sized a bit, and I could not tighten it without it stripping and nut turning. Since the nut is NOT meant to slide the blades for enlarging, one should do that by hand, and used nut to lock blades in place, the nut would snug them, but only a little torque and the nut would spin. , Since I had bought it a week ago, and it was the first time I was using it, I returned to Amazon as defective and am getting a replacement. Can't beat the price, and I just use these for reaming implement bucket pin holes for replacement pins I make on a lathe, unless I'm getting standard sized pins, then I use these to bring hole dia up to 0.003" under, and finish with solid reamer. These will NOT take the egg shape out of holes but will lessen the out of roundness. USE AMPLE CUTTING OIL!

Easy to adjust, and very fine adjustment. I ran it inside a bronze bushing with a little pb blaster and cordless drill. It'll cut about .010" pre pass. 3 turns of adjustment and go again until you get the desired size.

I used it to open up some copper and it works great.
