4 small screws are used to hold this 2 piece face groomer in place. The gray groomer brush comes apart from the plastic wall mount for easy cleaning.My cats like it but anyone who has cats knows that’s not a real endorsement because cats are by nature unpredictable screwballs. That’s precisely why I like having them around.In the photo you can see that I installed the brush on the corner of a drywalled wall. In my case, there is a metal corner bead on the drywall and I had to pre-drill 4 small holes to replace the supplied mounting screws with longer ones to catch the wooden studs under the corner bead. You could use an awl and hammer as well but you might need longer screws depending on your home construction.As I mentioned, cleaning is easy. You pop the gray brush out of the wall mounted holder and you can wash these in warm soapy water and replace on the wall holder in seconds.I have not put them in a dishwasher - not sure how they would hold up in 190 degree water. My cats wore out the first one after about 10 years, this is our 2nd one and they use it all of the time.

I was disappointed by this product. My cat cries in the morning until I let him “use” my brush after I’m done with it, so I figured this would be perfect for him. He has only used it twice and now it just sits on my wall collecting dust.It moves when he tried to use it. It’s not the best quality. It just seems poorly designed.

For a rather persnickety kitty that loves to rub ankles & occasionally a good scratch. easy to clean as well. recommend a favorite scent within to encourage. Change it up once in a while (herbs or flavors)...Might even help with the vacuuming...

I thought they would be more flexible. I do not want these on wall where I can bump it.I passed them along to my daughters cats. I have not received feedback about how their cats like them.

My friend’s cats live these. My cat was completely uninterested. He preferred the box.

I used Alien Tape(can be found on Amazon)as I wanted to secure the cat scratcher tightly. Not sure if the tape that came with the scratchers is secure enough.I found that my kitty really likes me to take the brush off the wall and brush her with it, I bet it feels fantastic for her!

Great idea but my cat just doesn’t get it so it's on my wall and will have to patch the holes when I take it off, the adhesive was not strong enough to stay on the wall. I'm sure other cats might love it, just not my cats thing.
