This clamp saved the kit that I had that broke right on the back of the dial indicator. Very thankful I found this item!

In the listing the slot is much larger than real life and looks even-it is not either. First, the slot is uneven in width and too narrow to clamp on .372-.374 shaft size. Second the stud/screw for the thumb nut is too long and bottoms out when tightened on the shaft. For cure, the slot has to be straightened and enlarged, an additional washer plac3ed under the thumb nut or shorten the stud by 1 thread. It does tighten on .375 + size but is maxed out. Needs simple improvements. The non straight slot is visible to the eye immediately. Hopefully this comment enhances improvement for the product. The price was more than fair-just needs 15 minutes of additional enhancement to work on a majority of shaft sizes.

Had to add two flat washers before it would even begin to clamp.

"Steel clamp" , old one being replaced was plastic and cracked.

Fit my magnet base and indicator.
