Q: Why does it say shower gel?

I can only guess that it's either a translation mistake or an auto-correction when the article was placed on the site. The botlle itself merely says "Skin Aqua UV Super Moisture Gel Gold". This is also the name used on other vendor websites.

Q: will this prevent tanning?

Yes. This is the Japanese sunscreen cream.

Q: Which one the gold one or the white one has better filters?

I believe it they each have the same awesome filters. The difference is that the white bottle leaves a slight glow, while the gold leaves a natural finish. I wear the white in the winter when it's drier, and the gold in the humid summer.
