not sure about the weight but i will say they are very sturdy an has goog weight to them.... well worth the money

Q: if I have a similar stool with a backcan I convert the back less to one with a back?

I have both stools types. The stool with the backrest has 3 tabs on the seat, where the back attaches. These tabs are not on the backless stool. Montello Customer Service number is 502-562-0000.
