Prime-Line GD 52121 Tee Latching Handle, Diecast Zinc (Single Pack)

Perfect replacement for some old garage door handles. The base of the handles are slightly smaller than the ones I was replacing. But, the screw holes lined up perfectly with the old handles base.

The handle was just as described easy to install. The local stores only carried a cheap handle with the key in the handle. Key in the handle type do not work for garage doors with the lock separate from the handle. Keep an eye on your small parts. Take a picture of yours before you take it apart to insure proper re installation. I hope I don't need a handle again but I recommend this one. I had my wife help. She held the handle on the front of the door while I put the push the lock nut on from the back. I used a socket to push the lok nut on. I used some spray lube on the rotating joints. Also cleaned out the pin holes for the rear handle with a drill bit so the pin could go in. Then used a center punch to drive in the pin. I reused one of the washers from the old handle so that I had 4 and that worked well. I can't believe how much of an improvement the new handles make. I did both doors. This was a great find.

Seems stronger than the previous handle. Easy install, but take photos of where everything goes. Once the handle is out, the door mechanism will move around.

Solid quality, had to shorten the rod a bit but I'd rather cut what's long then complain about a piece that's too short.Looks very solid on our garage door.

Worked perfectly.. Can't believe how hard it is to find a non locking T-handle for a garage door.

Easy to install, except the press fit pin to lock. I used a different type of approach (lock wire)
