Mann Filter FP 2939 FreciousPlus Cabin Air Filter

I had used the Bosch filter before which didn’t work well at all due to the sides not being stiff enough. This filter work nicely as the cutouts at the bottom of the filter work with the cover of the cabin air filter housing.

Fit in my '14 Jetta with no issues. Everything seems to be working well and the air seems to be a bit fresher. Not sure when the filter was last changed but it's probably been a few years. I was able to install it within a few minutes.

I love these filters, they are a little pricey but are top quality and always have zero issues.

Solid fit: the OEM filter I had previously (Mk5 Jetta) had a foam edge to take up any slack and make a good seal (which the FreciousPlus filter doesn't have) so I was worried that it wouldn't be as good a fit, but I was willing to try anyway - it must be a good enough seal, because this filter actually works a little too well - to the point that sometimes I forget that I haven't set my AC system to recirculate cabin air - the car is bringing in all kinds of junk from LA freeway traffic but it doesn't make it past the filter - I can't even tell, whereas before I got this filter, I could tell immediately.

First off... NOT made in China. Love that. I try to buy products made anywhere else but... With that out of the way, the filter does exactly what it says. It went in well. Fits perfectly and it has indeed reduced/eliminated the smell of the AC. I have purchased the MANN filters in the past and will continue to do so in the future. Wish they made these for a 2010 4Runner.

It is of good quality and is working very well. My previous one was dirty and smelling mold. I figured out how to remove the old one and replace it with this new one online (on youtube there are many videos, I just found the one for my car model). I did by myself, it was quite easy and I'm very happy my car doesn't smell mold anymore when I turn on/off the AC
