Iceland Pure Salmon Oil (33 oz)

I purchased this to help with my dogs dry coat and itching. I can't really say if it helped with the itching as we had to put her on steroids. What I can say is first of all, my dog absolutely loves the flavor. I learned to put the oil only on a couple of cups of food so it doesn't sit (makes the food mushy and sticks to her bowl). I guess I should note I have a giant dog so a couple of cups is a snack, and I have to use seven pumps of oil. You would want to scale that appropriately. The second part is that after three weeks her coat has changed drastically. She is a cinnamon Newfoundland and has always had a dullish brown color to her coat. She has become very very shiny. My vet was shocked at the difference. Her skin also seems less dry and flaky. I would say, if you give this product a few weeks to work, you will see a remarkable difference. I will definitely be keeping her on it. My vet also told me that in giant breeds that the fish oil can help to keep her joints lubricated and reduce possible future joint problems. That is definitely a bonus with a Newf.

I was very pleased that the oil smells like FRESH CLEAN fish, not the least bit stinky. My cats don't seem to mind my adding it to their food. I have one cat that is FeLV positive that needs the extra vitamins. She also has digestive problems once a month and stops eating, and I have had excellent results in mixing the salmon oil with meat baby food and syringe feeding her with it. Since I have done this she starts eating the NEXT day, where in the past she has gone on 4 day hunger strikes. The only thing I was NOT crazy about is it comes in an aluminum canister which is HEAVY to ship, and I live out island in PR where there is NO RECYCLING, so the green aspects of that are totally wasted on me.

I use Iceland Pure on my dogs food everyday. The dogs love it and their coats are shiny and soft. I had a couple of supplements I was putting on the dogs' food and brought them to our vet. He recommended tossing everything but the fish oil and glucosamine. As far as fish oils go, this is such a high quality product and the least odor offensive. When I finish the bottle of salmon oil, I alternate the next bottle with anchovy oil. My local specialty pet store sells the smaller 17oz bottle for the same amount that Amazon's seller sells thier 33oz bottle. Great Deal and great seller!

This is a great additive to your dog's diet. This helped my dog's dry skin. He also eats his food faster and enjoys it more. The container makes it easy to put the oil on your dogs food.Warning!!!: One thing to be noted with any salmon oil DO NOT get it on any fabric, especially your clothes. I accidently got some on a sweater and I had to wash it about 10 times before the smell came off. This was a user error and not a reflection of the product. Just a heads up.

I have a cat who's had some pretty gnarly chronic illnesses since he was a tiny baby kitten. Without writing the entire story of his life, I'll just say this fish oil is a blessing. Without it, he has dandruff and chin acne and he'll start clawing his own flesh away, leaving a horrific gaping wound on his chin. He needs antibiotics and cortisone to stop the cycle. He's literally as big as two cats, so the cost of his meds add up quickly. With fish oil, that rarely happens anymore. He's healthier and happier in general, and I save a butt ton of money in vet bills.

I buy this salmon oil for my cats as it is rich in the omega oils and helps keep their fur bright and shining. This is the first time I bought from this location and the pump dispenser was broke. Good thing I had an extra one from my last bottle, or I would not have been able to use the salmon oil in the convenient manner it was meant to be used.

Was referred to this product by a man at the local dog park who had his dog on it. Coat glistened and smooth. Have been using it for a few months now and our Siberian is doing real well and her coat has never looked better. Of course it hasn't cut out all the shedding but I think it has helped control it.This is our second order.

Awesome price for this product,I usually but salmon oil at my local pet stores and I only find the 13oz for $28 so this price was too good to be true. Great product I've been using it for years, the dogs and cats love it on their food!
