An in depth dissertation concerning the development of our species and the various forces influencing and directing from remote primordial existence the evolutionary development thereof on up to the ego and beyond as has been assessed by Stiener and his contemporaries and instructions on how perception of the finer forces should be developed.

Christ Loves You

This probably the best book by Steiner which delves into his esoteric philosophy. Though with any book Steiner wrote, it is a very tough read and takes quite a while to get into it. His writing style is an old style that most may not follow the flow of, but it is good if you can persevere. If you are looking for a book which gets into Theosophy and other occult topics outside of Blavatsky, then this may be for you. I enjoyed this book but I would find it a bit too much to read it a second time. In saying that, I learned a lot from Steiner in this book.

If you are interested in the Occult, you can't do better than Rudolf Steiner... I have quite a few books by him and value every one of them... great reference book as well...

The writing in this book is almost impossible to follow. Not fluent English. Good luck trying to discern any of it. Read at your own risk.

Excellent book at a great price with fast ship.

I will be real simple with this review. I recommend all of Rudolf Steiner books if you have any thoughs or questions about Spiritual Life, Spiritual Science, or things of the spirit. I have studied the Occult for over fifty years and Steiner is the only one who clearly and simply provided all the answers I was seeking. This book is one of two Steiner recommends you read as a beginning to understand spiritual paths meant for the modern men and women of today. I could go on and on as I have, over the years, purchased and read many of his books, but order this one and begin the journey yourself. Our path to initiation and enlightment is individual.

Steiner had an enormous range of knowledge, and insights which are without parallel. Occult, for the educated, means secret. It does not mean evil (as the south tends to believe), it means knowledge which is not obvious to most people (shall we say plebian?)

As with most of Steiner's work, this is a very interesting and well thought out piece of work. Unfortunately the page layout in this edition is appalling. I note that the publisher does not appear to have put their name anywhere on this publication. Perhaps they are ashamed of the lack of quality of the layout. I certainly would be.

I liked the clarity and precision of descriptions and explanations, carried out in a mode both reasonable and sound. Moreover, I liked the the selected train of thought in the narration; the order and manner of presenting the parts of the case. I also very much liked the equity of the work.It is highly recommended to everyone keen on getting, in deed, an 'outline'—comprehensive, however—of the 'occult perspective' of the world.Throughout the work can be felt a discrete but definite care for the reader-seeker.

A worthy addition to one's library. Heavy reading, very dry with out of date prose and dare I say some dated ideas and perspectives but still it is worth the effort of perseverance if only from a historical perspective. Personally I prefer Manly P. Hall's works but it's still worthy of reading by the serious student and should be on your bookshelf.

Fascinating book by a man who claims to know about the invisible realm beyond our senses. The language is rather stilted and old fashioned but it remains a classic of its kind.
