Great Product, Only One Problem In Years And Years
This really is the best pumpkin on the market. Sadly, it's not available everywhere. What's amazing is that I'm writing this after having had my very first really bad experience with this, because it turned out that the worst moment with this product is basically nothing compared to the worst with other options for canned pumpkin. To explain, usually we get this here, but it was expired last time, so we had to get help with a refund (big chore, with lots of pictures and me dropping a case on my foot trying to please people with clear expiration dates on many cans in one photo). We tried one can and very quickly realized that expired really does mean expired (tasted like plastic) so there was no way to use it and it had to be thrown away. And then, after that, we went searching for pumpkin for our dogs.Just for the record, on expiration issues, usually, we use this with a few months to spare before expiration, and it's always still good three months before, and every single other time we ordered we had a minimum of six months before expiration, with most batches having nine or ten or even twelve months left (almost always nine or ten). But, back to the story, in searching for anything to use with our dogs until we could get more of this (which wouldn't be here for several days) we got Libby's and a store-brand at two stores, hoping to try those and see if one would work as a replacement. What we found was that none of those brands worked for our littlest dog and two of them didn't agree with either dog's stomach. After all that, we drove quite a few miles to get to a health-food-store that had the Farmer's brand in stock (it was the only store for many miles with this product). And, once we got there, we found out that it costs us almost $7 more for the 12 cans than the price here. What we found, after all the drama, was that, in the end, not only is this the BEST pumpkin on the market but the price here at Amazon is the BEST price by several dollars (with a difference of over $4 being the smallest difference I could find anywhere, when it was on sale at another vendor). Amazon really is the best for this, even though every once in a while there is a hiccup, so I wanted to post this to make clear that the average expiration is at least six months away and they'll help if there is a problem with an expired product, on the rare day when that happens, but you can't beat their price and shipping. When we finally found it in a store, the store we drove to had a batch with only five months left until expiration and they cost us $7 more for that case of pumpkin. After having received expired for the first time in many years, we were annoyed enough to decide to switch brands or sources, but our dog let us know that Libby's won't work for her and both dogs let us know those other brands won't work either, and then the other sources for Farmer's let us know that Amazon is the best source for price and for having a farther-out expiration-date than the stores we can get this from. So, we'll be ordering this again, despite the one hiccup on that one order, and we'll be doing it with smiles on our faces, because it's the best pumpkin brand and it's the best price around. After all the drama of this last few weeks, I still recommend this as the very best option for pumpkin for dogs and for humans. We use this for dogs, because they have irritable bowel and pumpkin helps them firm-up their stool without any negative side-effects, and then my father also eats this and also buys this here on occasion. He's never had an issue, and I've only had one issue with the product itself over years and years, so I thought I'd write a review just to let people know that this is actually a reliable product.Even after a bad experience on one occasion, this is the best brand and it's my favorite brand for pumpkin. I'm kind of glad it happened, because now I know how hard it is to find this with a good expiration date locally and I know how much our dogs dislike the other brands. Amazon has the freshest supply there is for this brand, and the best price. And, right after all that drama, someone else ordered the same for her rescue dogs, and she got a batch with ten months left on it while I was lucky to have five months left on a batch I had to drive all over to get and search high and low to find and pay more for. With Subscribe and Save, this is the best price.

BEST pumpkin puree I've ever had, & I've had a lot. Sweet, smooth, good to eat on its own!
WOW! OUTSTANDING! Now this is pumpkin puree. Purely smooth, rich..really tastes like pumpkin. I normally just buy whatever is available. Sometimes it is super cheap stuff, sometimes mid priced. All pretty much taste the same to me. Some are more dry, some are more wet. The watery kinds can be great for smoothies. The more dry is better for baking. I wasn't sure what to expect with this brand because all the reviews had me thinking I would open a can of watery mess.Opened the can, it looked.. moist. Not watery. The watery kinds look like pumpkin puree and water blended together. This has a deep color, very very smooth texture, and the puree is dense. Any liquid is clearly just pumpkin "juice". It is THE BEST pumpkin I have had. WHY IS IT SO GOOD???? I have had other organic brands too. It might come down to what kind of pumpkin is used? This is AMAZING. Like, i can eat it by the spoonful plain, amazing. It just has this natural sweetness that I dont ever notice in other brands (Aldi, Clover Valley, store brands, Libby, Full Circle Organic, other organics I cant recall). This is flippin' delicious! I really do wonder if it comes down to type of pumpkin variety used. This is just overly good. All my cans look good (no dents), has plenty of time on it in terms of expiration. This is my new favorite pumpkin brand. I really didnt know that pumpkin puree could taste this good. Right now I have been using it on hot oats- adds a bit of sweetness on top of all the other good nutrtion it has to offer. Glad I finally came around to trying this brand. I originally wanted to get some canned squash puree and this was the brand I booked marked. I tried the pumpkin because it was on sale. Now that I know this is the best ever, I will try other products from them. All a tad pricy, but I dont rate on price anyway.

Everything to want in a can of plain pumpkin purée
We’re on our third case, so we love it. It fixed up puppy’s tummy and makes addictive pumpkin butter for the humans.

Great taste, can is packed full of pumpkin goodness
I love this stuff and was delighted to find that I could purchase it by the case here. That makes it far more cost-effective than from the stores nearby, unless it would be on sale.As far as quality, this brand is tops. I love that it tastes like the pumpkin puree I would make from time to time (you make it from "sugar pumpkins" and not the big, dry jack types) and it's organic. I also enjoy the texture and moisture level, it's "Goldilocks" for me, not as moist as applesauce, or the same brand's version of Butternut Squash puree (which is also wonderful) nor is it dry and stodgy. I use it primarily for oatmeal and other things in meals, and though it sounds odd, on an almost daily basis when I have enough of it in the house. For instance, you could add it to a smoothie, or make a pumpkin powder protein bowl with this puree as a major component. It's got taste, texture, moisture level, filled to the top, organic pumpkin (and nothing else) in the can; if you are a pumpkin lover like I am, what's not to like?

Tastiest canned pumpkin
Its some of best tasting canned pumpkin, though looser consistency with more water than most. Finding any canned pumpkin at reasonable price in off season not that easy. Right now this is best bang for the buck.Is rather confusing, I am old enough to remember when canned pumpkin was one of cheapest canned vegetables (well its botanically a fruit). Now its one of highest priced. You are still getting value for your money as lot nutrition and you can use it in savory dishes like in soup. Great base/thickener for vegetarian soups. Its not just for pumpkin pie or desserts.
