General garbage plastic with a sticky mechanism
I wanted to like these for the price point. I wanted to post a nice review for people looking for a good inexpensive set of flush hood pins.This is not a good review, and these are not good good pins. The mechanism is made of extremely cheap plastic, the one internal locking pin is held in place with cheap plastic. The spring is too small and too weak. The retracting pin doesn’t retract enough to actually release from the hood pin, and the whole cheap plastic mechanism binds when you do actually get that pin to release…making it impossible to close the latch again without prying that pin forward with a hook tool.Don’t buy this. They are guaranteed to fail. Get the more expensive genuine version instead.

Latch pin don’t open enough to allow the pin to come back to release from the chassis pin, if you push it back far enough to release it gets stuck and won’t latch down

cheap
doesnt open or clode correctly. hood pins dont line up right even out of the box so i didnt even worry about installing them. looks like something that was made for $0.11 in china and sold here for $20.

cheap chinese plastic
i wish i read the reviews before i bought these, just saw the price and went with it. these are soo cheap, they get stuck when you try to close them. broke one in the process of trying to get it to close. don’t waste your money please

Very flimsy
I bought these for my brother's car, and they hold the hood closed but one of them already broke. We couldn't get it to open, because the little mechanism in it came undone and then it broke. Definitely not worth it. Only gave it two stars because they have kept the hood down.

Get the real Aerocatch brand…these knockoffs SUCK!
Looking to save some money? Walk RIGHT past these. They are TRASH.First, there is no backing plate. REAL Aerocatchs have a backing plate.Second, they FEEL cheap. What do you expect? You paid $24 for them. You couldn’t afford the real ones for $72? Shame on you. Stop missing your car.Didn’t even return them…these are an embarrassment to the aftermarket community.
