Vater Percussion NightStick Wood Tip

Heeeeell yeah! They've got a real meaty tone but they're still light enough for you to get around the kit like a monster!PROS:-Compared to Promark 2S's, these are 0.25" longer than those. So if you've got short arms & tons of cymbals, these are good to help you reach things.-the wood tips on these sticks are extremely durable. I always had an issue with shredding the Promark 2S's wood tip before I'd even get much wear into them and that would ruin the sound. Vater's version always brakes in half in the middle first which is just how I like it. (Keep in mind, every stick breaks. I'm a heavy hitter so I get thrilled when I get a pair of sticks that make it through a whole session. 2S's are a much more durable stick compared to 5A's, 5B's, 2B's etc. However I will say that for every 3 Promark 2S's I'd break, I'd say I would average breaking 1 Vater 2S.- these are much denser than Vic Firth & Promark sticks.. Vater keeps a higher water moisture percentage and it makes them about 10grams heavier on average. PERFECT!-The snare rim shot sound is heavy, thick & the tonality is great. Put your favorite Pantera jam on & just put these bad boys to work & you'll see.CONS:-I haven't seen anywhere that offers a bulk pack of these.END:I hope my review helps your decision. Even if you aren't looking for the same characteristics I do, I highly recommend buying a pair because they're worth the price & would be a great addition to your collection.

These are hands down my go-to sticks. Perfect weight and size, and they withstand considerable abuse. Outstanding!

Great feeling stick if you are tired of your hands feeling all the shock of hard hitting. If you're moving up in size from a 1A or something-take this route. If you're now using 5B or something smaller-this will feel like a tree trunk. Makes me feel like a champion of the sun when I hold them. If you don't like them-don't hesitate to try the Vic Firth MS4. But-broke after 4 days of use. MS4 is way more durable...by a long shot.

Bought this, along with other musical toys, for my grandchildren for Christmas . . . they love being able to create music.

Can't beat the price of these drumsticks! My son needed them for his costume, now he wants a set of drums.
