The Trapper's Bible: The Most Complete Guide to Trapping and Hunting Tips Ever

This was a good book that taught a lot of practical advice about trapping and catching various furred animals and such. The biology was a bit off in a few places, mostly in regards to broad animal behavior such as characterizing lions as preferring human meat and so on or not understanding why weasels are so aggressive. However, I have no doubts that if someone wanted these furs, or needed to know how to process them, they could do so using the tips in this guide and that is where it shines: the practical areas.The downside is a lot of this is cobbled together with exerpts from various legendary trappers of a century ago or more and as a lot of them were very good at what they did, you get some repetition. All in all though, a book I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to learn how practical trapping works.

Satisfied, it's an interesting reference book.

So the book is great. Don’t get me wrong. However, it is more of a history, animal knowledge (which helps for bait and stuff, but kind of common knowledge), it has very good trap details. However, I feel like the book should have had way more trap step-by-step projects than it has. So the lacking of a wider range of trap projects included make it a 4 star for me.

I live in a remote area in Kentucky. We have coyotes , bobcats and black bear that are hell on chickens, goats and domestic cats. I bought this book for my neighbor, who literally trapped a coyote within a few days. Good quality book and good info.

I thought it would be just basic stuff but this has just about everything to know with a little practice.

This was a book with not so much trap building instructions, but a lot about the game one could trap. As I dont live in the U.S many of the animals are out of bounds. But for americans this would be an ok book.
