Q: Where is this sourced from and in what country is this produced?

Nothing on the label indicating country of production. Label does indicate “raw materials from around the world.”

Q: is it extracted with the co2 process?

I don't know the answer to that, BUT... I can tell you I tested it, and it failed the sunlight sensitivity test. Two weeks later and the deep dark 'brown' (not red) stain is still unchanged. I should have returned it. (search, 3 EASY WAYS TO IDENTIFY FAKE ASTAXANTHIN SUPPLEMENT). Is it fake? I can't say with 100% certainty, but I know I'm not ingesting it.

The other ingredients lists: kosher gelatin, kosher vegetable glycerin, purified water, natural carob (softgel)

Q: shellfish? which shellfish? any crustacea?

Under allergy alert the label says, "May contain shellfish products." But the label does not specify what type it MT contain.
