Great light
Great for inspections, the main lens turns a small aa powered bulb into a pretty focused beam of light, so the spread isn't too wide but for its power, the throw is impressive. Light does a good job, for a good price, and doesn't ever need to be recharged. Just 3 aa.

I have had 2x for a few years now.It is a really good flash lite.The base is a little small to steady it when you want set it down and work.It is also pretty expensive, but they do work like a champ every time I reach for one.Just ordered 2x more to spread around the house when needed

Weak Light
I have worked in the maritime industry as well as the power generation industry. After going through a plethora of flashlights, I was highly disappointed with this light. Before I used this model, I had used the Streamlight version for years to do tank inspections and rebuilding engines. I was always impressed with the Lumens and the amount of light from this little flashlight. When that light finally died, I was in the market for a new so I looked for one that was similar, but also had the magnets for hands free work. This is why I originally purchased the Nightstick. The light output is not the same as the Streamlight. I actually had to use someone else's flashlight to do the work I needed to do. Secondly, the magnets work, but are very weak. If you slightly bump the flashlight, it will dismount from where ever you put it. If I have any positives about this light, it is durable. I know this because I have dropped it 1000 times. That is about the only positive. Don't waste your money on this flashlight. Go buy a Streamlight. I just did and I am very happy with my purchase!

Still works great.
It's bright.I have this as my emergency flashlight in my boat. I have a work model (one step down) which has survived 5 years in an offshore work environment which may or may have included being dropped into a tank of lube oil. Still works great.
