Bought as a secret santa gift for my boss. He loved it, has been well used since. The quality feels lovely from the cover to the pages themselves. The paper has a nice thickness so writing on it is very smooth.

For me this is the classic Moleskin notebook - excellent quality soft cover and ruled pages.

Typical Moleskin high quality. Premium feel. Very soft back so bear that on kind. You can purchase a separate hard back model if required.

I will start this review by saying I do like a nice Moleskine notebook/diary.This notebook is a great size (a little less than A4 but still good sizes pages) and the paper is a nice texture and thickness. I write with a fine nibbed fountain pen using black ink and, at times, the ink is visible on the reverse of the page - normally nothing more than a hint of ink where I have paused shows through. The weight of the paper means this is a reasonably thick notebook, but it still slips neatly into my 13 inch laptop soft cover (alongside my laptop) with no problems.As has been said this is a soft covered notebook, all XL Moleskines are I believe; that said the cover is robust enough to withstand the average rucksack of a student, although, if you are looking to write without resting the book on a desk etc you may want to look at the hardcover books in Moleskine size "large". However I prefer these notebooks as the soft cover makes opening the book flat and writing up to the centre line very easy - no wasted paper!The lines on the paper are a little wider than a standard narrow ruled page, I can understand some people may find the lines too narrow, however they seem spot on for me - I think they actually help me to keep my writing neater as I concentrate a little more!A nice feeling of permanence too - this is not a notebook for fleeting thoughts, this is a notebook for lasting memories.

Strong thick and all the ink stayed on one page! It felt really good quality and had really good amount of pages and had details etc.

I have used these notebooks for many years now and have found them to be indispensible. This particular one is the soft cover version, though you can get it in the same size as a hard cover depending whether you are going to put it in your pocket or bag. The corners are curved, so they shouldn't catch on anything.There is an attached thin fabric bookmark so that you can keep your page, an attached elastic strap for keeping the notebook together and there are 23 lines on each of the 192 pages. The cover is black imitation leather and looks more professional than those cheapy notebooks that you can get at your local supermarket. There is a little pocket inside the back cover that is big enough to fit a credit card or train ticket.A very useful notebook for shopping lists or jotting down ideas for your next novel.

Great quality product, they’re not cheap but then neither is the quality, I keep coming back to them, especially as I use a fountain pen a lot, the ink doesn’t spread which shows it’s quality.
