Comfy, good grip, and waterproof.
Comfy, good grip, and waterproof so far (though I admit treating them with Grangers Footwear Repel Plus after about a week's use.) My feet have stayed dry through rain, wet grass, and occasional steps into deep puddles/mud.I can see there's a knack to tightening the laces without damaging them. Pull moderately tight with the laces removed from the top eyelets. Slot them into the top eyelets while maintaining tension. Don't pull the laces tighter through the eyelets from this point on. Start the knot and pull it tight only so the laces bite into the padded tongue - without movement through the eyelets. Finish knot. Done. They are generously sized - I can slip them on easily without using my hands. Size 10.5 is normally right for me and I bought these in size 11 to be on the safe side. A perfect result. Despite being so easy to put on, my feet don't move around inside at all while dog walking in the woods.I'm satisfied they are worth the forty pounds I paid for them. If they stay waterproof for more than a year of regular use then they are a true bargain.

comfortable and good value
These shoes are no doubt for older people, me being one of them. They are clunky, wide and not very fashionable. However, they are robust, comfortable, stable on uneven ground and very good value. You don't want to to undertake a 100 mile walk, but for dog walking and general rambling they are perfect.

Snapped laces after 3 months
Why did you choose this product over others?:Generally a good al round shoe, comfy if not a little broad for my feet, seem to be water resistant and grip is good but one of the laces has snapped after Not even 3 months. Not good enough really, how many pence have the saved in manufacture and now I have to buy more laces.

Comfortable and Waterproof Boots
Liking the Style, they fit great, added insoles for extra comfort. Bought for walking our dog, which is usually 7000 to 11000 steps a day. Delivery was on time. Haven't been out in any serious wet weather yet, they certainly will get tested here in South Wales as we do get quite an amount of rain 🌧️

Reliable and comfy footwear
I love these shoes, and buy them on a regular basis. I do ***a huge amount*** of general purpose walking and live in these shoes day in, day out, all year. Whilst the supplied insoles are good, I choose to replace them with arch-support insoles, which I replace every few months, but the shoes themselves last me around 4 years a pair, however I have a pair I wear day in day out as my 'iniversal' shoes and I have another pair I keep as 'best-occasion' shoes, and then I switch them to general use and buy a new 'best-occasion' pair when the generals have passed their 'walk-by' date. I do not buy or wear cheap rubbish footwear, I only have one pair of feet.....plus knees and hips, and comfy supportive footwear is absolutely essential. I don't ever deliberately stand in water, or wade through Lake District bogs, but from my experience of *rain* I've certainly not got wet feet whilst wearing these in, I'm going to say, certainly the first two years of wearing them. Like all this type of construction where, in very simple terms, you have an inner and an outer shell, but in-between the two is a sort of 'plastic bag sewn in, they *are* waterproof for a period of time, but eventually the creasing and uncreasing of that (unseen) 'plastic bag' can (but not always) cause a breach. You can buy a rubbish pair of shoes for 15 - 20£, they'll be rubbish when you buy them and they'll be rubbish all the way until you give up on them 6-months to 1year later, and you'll likely have uncomfortable feet for this period of time too.I keep buying them because they give me excellent service, comfort and value. I take a size 8 (EU42) and that size in this shoe is perfect for me

Good quality, reasonable price
Great sturdy Boots, don’t know if waterproof yet as not walked in rain but going to the Lake District next week so will be putting them through the puddles then.

Review update: Not as good as they used to be
So after roughly ten weeks since buying these shoes and putting in a positive comment about the durability of the soles I would like to amend my previous review by stating that the soles on my new pair are already nearly worn through. I walk quite a lot over varied terrain, but mostly paved areas and the occasional gravelly path. No more than five miles a day but usually closer to three. These shoes should not have worn out in that time and I can only assume that Karrimor have started using inferior quality materials. They are comfy, supportive, water resistant, lightweight and relatively inexpensive, so taking those points into consideration I would buy another pair, but with the expectation of having to replace them after three months of light/moderate use. Not what they used to be.
