I bought this to chop wood. I don’t chop any wood because I own a chain saw and log splitter so I just hung it on the wall. It a must have for any serious hoarder!

He loved it!
My husband LOVED it! He's a survivalist and had been asking for this hatchet for months, and was pleasantly surprised by the quality. It was a little dull, but I assume that's because of friction caused by the blade guard. Nothing a little sharpening didn't fix!

Not American made! Super deceptive marketing
These guys go out of their way to try to make this sound like it's American made without ever telling you officially where it's made. Just take a look at their website and tell me that they're not trying to make this sound like an American made ax. This piece of garbage is made in India. Super deceptive marketing.

Good size
Quite a small axe, handy for storage. Quite sharp as I damaged my finger first time out./

Poor qaulity
Grinds on axe head are rough and uneven. The head began to come loose after splitting one small log for a camp fire. It will work but not the estwing qaulity i was looking for
