I have had a few of these recently, same make, same size (512GB) and they really are impressive, and affordable. There are other sizes too, eg 1TB but the prices start to rise on all these dramatically, but this size, is amazing bargain, and as mentioned had a few of these over t he last few months, and they all work effortlessly, and fast too

I needed a SSD for my late 2012 imac as the old school sata disk fail also the imac started to run super slow with 15 minutes booting times etc, as it's an old imac. I did not want to spend too much money as I thought to give it away or sell once it was repaired. I came across this 1GB SSD, so i did my research by checking out the specs and it was very impressive went toe to toe with the Samsung Qvo or Evo so I went for it. Easy to install, snug fit onto the bracket, installed OS onto it. My imac is running as if I just made a brand new purchase. I also upgraded my 8GB ram to a totoal of 24GB. Fast booting times now and running smoothly no noise what so ever from the SSD. Worth the purchase love it.. might even keep the imac now 😆 🤣Recommended this device hurry buy it when it comes in a limited offer or now before it goes up UP!

Lasted two years then dead

I have been using this drive for three days and all has been fine up till I had my game files random corrupt. I do not know if this is related to the drive but I will update this review if there is any more issues.Apart from that, I have noticed the speed is pretty great, games update much faster and my system feels snappier overall. It is very easy to install and can fit pretty much anywhere in a pc case. It may be slightly harder to install in a laptop but all it would take is a 5 minute youtube video and some confidence!

I have a Dell Inspiron laptop, five or six years old. Never use it as so slow and I have a decent desktop. Nine minute boot time. A bit of research and I found out that Dell laptops, even new ones, are notoriously slow. After a bit of Youtube research, found out that the hard drive makes them slow and can be improved by replacing with a Solid State Drive. Bought the cheapest of these, 128Gb, for £13.90. Bought two Benfei sata to USB cables at £5.09 each. Downloaded Lazesoft Disk Image and Clone software for free, onto my desktop PC. Plugged the hard drive and SSD into the desktop, externally, using the cables, also bought from Amazon. Cloned the whole hard drive onto the SSD. Fitted the SSD into my Dell laptop and it works great, and is much faster than before. Laptop is never going to be super fast but is now useable and for a small amount of money. Go for the bigger drive if you use the laptop a lot. Highly recommended.

So I decided I was going to upgrade my laptops SATA slot with this drive, 2TB for £94.99, what a steal.So I pulled the bottom plate off the laptop, installed the thing, put everything back and booted up. This is where a lot of reviews will tell you the problems start when the disk doesn't initialize. Well don't listen to them, most don't and I'd be more worried if they did.So got the thing initialized, all seemed good. Then I decided to put a few games on there to give it a test. all looked fine. powered the laptop off at the end of the day, came back to it today and low an behold it can't open the folders. hmmm ok so lets run some test on it, everything seems fine. so I decided the best thing to do was wipe and start again. Well formatting failed and then the disk refused to initialize at all after a restart.That is the point I stopped. I was going to try using a Windows bootable to reformat the drive but way to much effort. I have just got back from the post office where the drive will be on its way back to Amazon (Who I will commend on making the returns process simple)In summary, pay a little extra, get a known brand and save yourself the trouble. Brands like this tend to be hit and miss in in this case its a miss.side note: ease of install. well if you know what you're doing easy if you're a tech novice I'd say 3 out of 10. physical install easy enough (even in a laptop) initializing the disk (obviously assuming no issues) is a bit tricky if you don't know where to look. Although that would be the same for any SATA SSD.

This companies SSD drives simply do exactly what they are required and operate as described in the selling advertisement.Simple to format using either a Windows PC or an Apple Computer.Size is exactly as stated ( not withstanding the small amount of space used by the setup)Excellent for storing large quantities of data or photgraphs if eitehr placed in a protective cover or in my case, if used with a plug-in attachment hat allows it to be read by the PC.Happy to recommend.
