Not sturdier than competition for $$$
Not as sturdy as I expected for the price. Very similar to DeeZee box sold locally and DeeZee is about half the price. I had to weld 3" aluminum flat stock in a rectangle with cross members in order to mount this on a Stowaway swing away hitch mount. I also sandwich flatstock on the inside of both longitudal ends of the box. The box showed up with dents (most likely from shipping). The additional weight and cost was 30lbs and about $100 in materials. If you are looking for a strong structure, look at Protech. The best features of the box is the lid is solid and closes well and the structural creases are positioned in a way to reduce wasted space or reduce the size of the opening compared to deezee, weatherguard and others (very nice feature when taking things in and out).

Saved over 300$ buying damaged
Took a shot buying damaged item with the hopes that I could repair it.box came with one corner badly dented,and the lid stuck shut.10 minutes with a short 2x4 and a rubber mallet dents were barely discernable. The lid was easy to adjust for smooth opening. From reading several reviews on the box arriving damaged anyway, and my application not being critical of aesthetics. I am more than pleased with this box and the money I saved.

reselling previous dents
This is the 2nd of 3 boxes ordered. These are great boxes. All 3 came previously dented. I think amazon is selling returned inventory.

Very thin. Good if light weight is what you are going for
Pretty darn thin. Piano hinge on the lid is riveted on. Super ghetto. Had to add 6 more rivets to make it less sloppy. Still not sure how to mount it in the bed of my truck.

Lid corners arrive destroyed due to packaging
Great box. Well built. Welds are not ground or polished.Unfortunately it gets destroyed in shipping on the conveyor belts.

Box handles need adjustment
The first box arrived dented and the lid would not open at all. the next box arrived dented but not as bad. I needed a screw driver to pry open the lid and spent 2 hours trying to adjust the handles. I finally had to purchase other hardware to make the handles work. I do however love the size as it fits perfectly on a kayak trailer I built.

Great value
Lightweight but feels sturdy. Some bends on the sides and bottom. I don’t know if it’s due to shipping or manufacturing. Will work great!
