One of the best i have owned
I found this very effective and a very good buy.It's light and easy to handle, it recharges fast and is easy to clean.I would recommend it

Close but not close enough!
Medium range shaver. The quality is okay but could be a lot better on two specific points.1. The closeness of the shave is not good enough, you will have to go over your face a number of times and still you won’t get that close shave all round. As a result of trying to achieve a closer shave by revisiting the same part of your face numerous times, you get some skin irritation. Granted I have experienced worst but it should be better and unfortunately you may feel yourself sometimes having to use a razor to get those straggles of hair gone.2. When cleaning it, the top part of the shaving head can come off quite easily, it is not a deal breaker but it does highlight the lack of a sturdier build.3. Lastly, they could have included a little cleaning brush with the product.Conclusion: mid range shaver, don’t expect a clean shave, the build quality could be better but it’s not that bad compared to others around the same price mark. Battery life is decent but not a game changer.Would I buy it again? Probably not, but it may have different results on different hair and skin types. Mines is quite coarse and thick.

Simple shaver
Uncomplicated simple to use with a good close shave

Disappointing, with the shave, at best, only adequate.
This is my third Philips rotary shaver - the first was, like this, rechargeable (over 50 years ago), and the second corded - and, after years of wet shaving, and then using a foil rechargeable (due to an injury meaning it is difficult to use a wet razor right-handed), I decided to try the rotary route once more. I found it a little disappointing. It works OK, but sounds very "tinny", and the head speed seems slow (compared to my previous ones), and the shave is, at best, only adequate.Ergonomically the design is also poor, the power button is very sensitive, and situated such that it is very easy to press unintentionally mid-shave. I have never seen the point of a wet/dry electric (rechargeable) shaver, mainly because I have never had a mirror in the shower, and have never shaved in the shower, as it seems to be a huge waste of water, plus I have never trusted the "waterproof" capability of any "electric" appliance!My previous experiences with Philips prompted me to buy this one, but in hindsight I would have stuck to a foil shaver - the best shave I ever had was from a Remington some 40 years ago, but it needed a replacement foil every 6 months or so, making it very expensive! I will persevere with the Philips, but get a better shave with a wet razor (left-handed!).

Ridiculously good!
My husband’s reaction to using this first time? “This is ridiculous! Best shave I’ve had, better than a wet shave” He had about three days growth of very thick stubble so it was a good test.Only fault he had with it is he keeps catching the off button when using!

Have had Phillips shavers for many years, the latest is good, reasonably priced and does the job.

Strange odour ll
The shaver works ok and does all the basic and expected stuff. However the shaver gives off an awful smell that we can’t eliminate. It smells like damp and it is unbearable. I am going to try and exchange it. If anyone else has had the same problem. Pls can you say. X
