The "Raiders of the Lost Ark" floatplane that Indiana Jones used to escape an angry mob was a Waco Aircraft Company UBF-2 and the movie plane is reported to be on display in Tokyo Disneyland. Inside the movie world, having a plane and pilot standing by in the right place at the right time must be part of the willing suspension of disbelief.Many movies have practical effects that require a physical machine.
