Simple, but great kit
Slightly lacking in detail, but that aside, a really good kit and for the money, excellent value. Not a massive project either. An hour or so a day and you'll be done within a week. Fit is very good and the only thing to watch out for are some errors in the instructions. The wing instructions are showing incorrect left/right assembly and I found the gun sight needed to be sanded down to fit into the instrument panel. Minor things to be honest. I had very little filling and sanding to do for seam lines and I would just say, be careful with the wing alignment where the folds are. Don't apply glue until you have it bang on. I use Tamiya tape to get it all aligned and only then inched around the join, gluing small sections as I made sure everything was bang on. The decals aren't great, the older Tamiya were always too thick. I replaced them with Microscale decals and that allowed me to do a two tone blue paint job, with satin white underneath. It looked so much better than all sea blue. Just add a bit of detail to the cockpit with some photoetch, some better decals and you've got a very nice result indeed. Even masking and then airbrushing the colour scheme was a breeze. A slightly different looking plane, so worth having one in the collection. Looks great next to the Eduard Wildcat that I recently built.

Nothing beats Tamiya.
Fits together so well... as always with Tamiya. I've tried several different makes of kit inluding Airfix and Revell and none compare to how well the Tamiya kits go together!

Shipped in a paper envelope?
Great kit by the looks of it, but knocking off a star as Amazon shipped my 2 kits in a paper envelope. Thats's nearly ÂŁ50 of delicate plastic model kits shipped together in an unpadded paper envelope. Yes the boxes where damaged, but thankfully contents OK

Great kit
This was a really fun build. Not a bad size overall! The options for wings folded is in the instructions. I went for both to showcase this. Little fiddly at times. Generally impressed and would recommend to anyone else who like me has had it in the wish list for months debating on wether to pull the trigger or not
