Good but potentially troublesome spike part. Excessively expensive.
I like the neat little mechanism that joins/separates the 2 rings. It really requires 2 hands to use it though can be separated one-handedly. Also impressed that it is so lightweight (link part 4.6g and whole thing, including stainless steel rings, just 10g) yet is stated to be capable of taking a 9kg strain. However, when the 2 parts are separated one has a sharp spike which could damage surfaces and possibly puncture skin if pressed on hard so you would have to warn someone if lending them keys attached to that part. The main negative point is the astonishingly high price at £13.99. I suspect that the sellers think the fact it is made of titanium alloy (most are over 90% titanium, pure titanium is less strong) may make people believe the price is justified, perhaps assuming that titanium is very expensive. The current price of titanium on 29/02/24 is £5.30/kg and titanium alloy averages about £11.20/kg so the metal in the 4.6g link would be worth about 5p!Overall, despite its sharp spike, I quite like this keyring device and was lucky to obtain it at no cost via Amazon Vine but there is absolutely no way I would buy it at £14 and cannot recommend.

Really nice EDC item
Item: Noopel Quick Release KeyringCurrent price: £9.99The Noopel Quick Release Keyring arrives in a plastic bag with 2 loose steel rings. After attaching the steel rings to each end of the Keyring, you have to try to work out how to release the quick release mechanism - there are no instructions or notes included to explain - a problem if you were giving this item as a gift! It’s reassuring that no amount of pulling, rotating or otherwise manipulating the Keyring could persuade it to separate until the correct release action is performed. The product images on the Amazon page show how to release the mechanism and separate the 2 halves of the Keyring. One half, to stay on my car and house keys, is the ‘female’ portion, and this just looks like a smart, modern Keyring. The other ‘’male’ half is attached to my edc (every day carry) items because it constitutes an edc item itself - the male portion of the Keyring features a small ‘blade’ - not sharp enough to cut, but pointy enough to stab through packing tape and slice it, for scoring paper and card, for scratching markings into stones or wood, to use as an awl for positioning nails and screws, even for cleaning out under your nails or any other use you can think of for a small, hard, pointy piece of metal. The Keyring locks back together again cleanly and securely with a push.If this item came with a small diagram explaining the release notes, and possibly with a nice matchbox or something as packaging, it would be a very cool gift for £9.99.As it is, it’s a good functional item, well made and a nice addition to my collection.

Works perfectly
The media could not be loaded. This is brilliant, I really like it, it solves something for me that is/was, a real pain, kinda literally. For context, I have a permanent spine injury, that requires me to take various medications, 3 times a day, so it’s very important for me, and I have this on my keys, and attached to it I have a watertight capsule, that I carry my lunch time medication in, so I need something I can rely on to “NOT!” accidentally open, and this, totally gives me that, I have zero concerns that this will accidently separate and I’ll loose my medication, which is obviously important to me. The mechanism on this is great, it relays on a click into place system, that I then have to “Push” 1 section down, in order to separate the 2 of them, and I’ve never once had it accidentally open/separate.To me this feels very sturdy to me, the build quality is very good, and the mechanism is very precise, which helps it to be so reliable I think.I genuinely really like this, it gives me peace of mind that my capsule will stay on my keys, until I need it, which is awesome for me.

Intuitive and strong
Impossible to pull apart with bare hands, unless you know how to (which is intuitive and easy to learn), very strong link. Recommended

pointy spigot
I was surprised to see the spigot had a sharp point. Not nice. On other similar products I have noticed round or blunted ends. Much more satisfactory. I also noted it did not automatically push together contrary to the product description. Maybe connected to the pointed end

Excellent keyring addition
Lovely little keyring with a quick release action. One side of the quick release portion, hides a nifty little box opener and, yes, the edge is sharp! Small and compact, it allows whatever it’s connected to, to swivel and spinThinking it was friction type fit, I spent a wee while trying to get the 2 parts apart by pulling them in opposite directions. Only then to realise the centre part has to be pulled towards the end when, low and behold, it’ll split very simply. What a great addition for my wallet. Ok, I know it’s intended for keys, but I’ve always tried to find alternative uses for things. Well, I’ve attached it to my moustache comb and wallet.Great value at £13.99.
