I am a retired dentist and no longer had access to the ultrasonic scalers in my office and didn't want to spend $500-$1500 for a professional system. This is very well-made. It's vibration is quite adequate to remove calculus (tartar). Used properly it should not hurt at all. If it were more powerful it would require running water for cooling (like a jet pointed at the tip). Note: ultrasonic scalers are not typically for stain removal, but tartar removal. If the tartar is stained, then that can be removed--but for smoker-coffee yellowing--not effective--use commercial bleaching such as Crest white strips. The only downside--instructions are in Chinese--but who doesn't know how to turn something like this on, or charge it? So its use is very intuitive, and the pictures are helpful. You can't beat it for the price. I cannot speak to how long it will last--I have only had it for a week. Another note--ultrasonic scaling is not for EVERYDAY use, depending on tartar buildup--maybe every few months. Final note--I received no incentive for this--I searched for the product like everybody else, and paid for it-non discount.

I wish I would have taken before and after pictures because explaining does nothing. For the amount of stains I had on my top and bottom teeth I was so embarrassed, I’d cover my mouth when I talk and wouldn’t smile with my teeth. I’m only 24 and bad habits like smoking/drinking coffee will really do damage. I seen this and wasn’t very hopeful with it being so cheap but I figured I’d just give it a try. It came last night and I decided to try it, IMMEDIATELY IT ALL STARTED TO COME OFF. My teeth are white again and I’ve never been so pleased! It doesn’t hurt and it’s just overall the best thing I’ve done. Highly recommend this even for terrible stains because trust me I had them.

This product is wonderful. I was able to remove some pesky stain in the crevices near my gums. I floss daily, and use a teeth whitener at home. However, I could never quite remove the stains that have built up in between my teeth in those hard to reach places. Using this product for the first time, the stains came off after about 5 minutes of scaling. I would suggest that you watch a few youtube videos on how to do it property, since it can damage your gums if you are not familiar with the technique.

This is nothing more than a dental pick that vibrates. You get more action out of a tooth pick

I used this calculus scraper and it cleared most of my plaque. ive never used one of these before but i got the idea to search for a consumer version after a $100 dental visit for teeth cleaning/plaque removal which the dentist said i need to come back every 6 months to do. a steady-ish hand and light application is all you need with this tool to save loads of money at the dentist. i gave it 5 stars because it is very effective for $20 when compared to dentist bills. i did it myself. i imagine you can get even better results if you can get someone to do it for you with care. very happy with this purchase!!

Great product! At first, I was worried about whether it might cause pain. There is no pain at all, just some vibration that proves it is working. I would highly recommend this product. It is extremely easy to use and actually removes the tartar buildup!

This product is amazing used tonight for first time and I can see a major difference no more yellow stained teeth. I followed up with the teeth polisher pack that you use with a toothbrush. I did the procees twice because it was my first time using both products. I will repeat the process monthly first fmat first and then every three months.sidenoteremember to move slowly and be careful the end of the product is sharp.

Double the price in India due to taxes and profit margins for the vendor. But the product works as expected for moderate tartar removal. This item is worth 20$ in the US( about 1900 rupees ) so you are paying a high cost for it here .
