Cheap is cheap
Tape is medium quality. It seems like some kind of closed foam, is soft and almost slick. I think the roll is a little short and does not stretch very well. I ended up re-wrapping after letting the first go stretch in place for a bit. I noticed it holds indentations from the cable housings, so this may not be the most durable tape in the long run. With just a little searching here on amazon, you will see there are nearly a half-dozen different listings for basically this same tape with other company names on it. I wish the listings would just be combined. But this does tell you this is basically a no-name tape. However, my biggest gripe is the color is not very pronounced (I ordered red/black). The pattern is fine, but the red is not saturated at all. It looks very light next to my new jagwire red cable housings. For the price, it's hard to be too critical. Who knows, maybe I'll really love this tape, but if it tears up or comes loose, I won't think twice about replacing it with something more expensive.

handlebar on my phil&teds stroller is almost as good as new!
I used this to repair a torn up handle on my green phil & teds sport graffiti stroller. It still had plenty of life left in it, but the foam was in very bad shape. I left the original foam where it was and wrapped it up with this. No, it isn't sticky, but I've tested it out, and it doesn't budge. I stretched it lightly the whole way, and then used some sticky cotton handlebar tape in a similar green to secure the ends once I liked how it looked. I have to say, it came out great, almost better than new. The green is an exact match to the green stroller fabric, so I couldn't ask for a nicer looking fix; the green and black compliment it perfectly. And so budget friendly! Best part is, I only needed to use one roll, so I still have another if I ever need to fix it again!

The finishing tape is pretty much useless
This tape is not for someone new to bar tape or grips. It does not have base tack tape, so you really need to make sure you're keeping tension. The finishing tape is pretty much useless, but I always use electrical tape anyway (it's easily manipulated and gives a secure stretchable finish). If you're an old hand at re-gripping, you'll be fine. If you're making your first attempt, I suggest finding a tape with a base tack to help stabilize the process. This tape is also pretty thick in comparison to other tapes I've used. As you can see, I am using this on some inexpensive TT bars on my road bike for additional ride positions. It may be comfortable for those who don't wear gloves while riding or want something with a bit more give.

one of the most comfortable bar tapes i've ever used.
feels really good on your hands, does not slip when wet. you have to use your own adheasive. I use 3m supper 77 in spray can even on tapes that come with so called adheasive. solves problems down the road. a little on the drops and on the top between the hood to about 1-1 1/2 inch from the end. it can be retaped if something slides.

Great Product for the Price!
First impression: They look decent, the foam doesn't feel cheap. The foam isn't completely flat, the middle 1/3 is, but the sides taper off to about half thickness, giving it the shape of a very flattened trapezoid. They come packed with 2 shiny endcaps and 2 strips of matte black tape, presumably to finish off.Installing: This was my first time wrapping a handlebar, so bear with me. They are a bit stretchy. I test-wrapped a couple times to see how the thickness changes and got it on the 3rd time. If you wrap so only the tapered sides overlap, the foam comes out even. Once you wrap closer or have to account for curves, the wraps becomes more bumpy (i could probably do better, but I'm no pro). I did cut some excess off when wrapping my drop down handlebar, which is one of the longer styles, so you definitely have enough length for each side of any handlebar. I didn't finish the wrap with just the provided tape. The tape is much like regular tape or duct tape, where they are not elastic, and so wrinkles show up easy. I finished with a bunch of electrical tape and overlaid the matte tape over it, which came out nice. After installation: So far after about 3 weeks in mostly sun and little bit of rain, they are doing fine. I don't feel them drying out. It's obviously too soon to tell how long it will last, but for this price, I will be happy with a couple years. I will add pictures soon.

This tape looks great and was a great deal
This tape looks great and was a great deal! I am very practiced in taping my handlebars, but I would caution those who are not to not buy these. There are no instructions, so if you've never done on your own before, it could be hard. That being said, I'm sure the internet has plenty of instructions. One other small comment, is there is not the small piece to place under your brakes if you have traditional drop handlebar brake levers. There was enough extra tape that you could make a small piece if you needed to though.I know this sounds like I have complaints, but I really don't! This is perfect for someone who knows what they are doing with handlebar taping and is looking for a great deal.

Wears well
I spend about 200 hours a year on my bike... one set of this tape lasts me a couple of years. I'm on my second set of this tape... the tape you see in the pictures has been on for about 10 weeks now.Make sure you know how to wrap a handlebar... there are some good Youtubes out there to show you. It's important to wrap them in the correct directions, and to put appropriate tension on the tape.As you can see, my bike is red and silver, so this tape looks neat on it I think.

Attractive but not durable
I purchased this to upgrade for a race I was competing in. I installed it in May and now it is early July, It is ripped and tearing where my hands touch the handlebars. It is not durable. If you want grips that look nice but wont last, (Like a T-Shirt from Old Navy) these grips are perfect. Otherwise find something more durable.
