DAX Pomade Compounded With Vegetable Oils, 7.5 Ounce

I bought this because I remembered when I was a little girl, my grandmother used this on her hair as well as my sister and I. She had the most beautiful hair. It was soft and long. I decided to try it again, and my hair is much more manageable, like my grandmothers hair was…nice and soft. I have since purchased the bigger jar and now use it on my granddaughter’s hair as well. Love it!

Helps with dry scalp and hair. Only have to use it once or twice between shampoos.

Everything to be expected from a classic light-hold pomade. Shine is good. I might compare this to Royal Crown pomade.

I have very dry frizzy hair. For years I have been using this product. I put it on my hair when it’s wet. My hair looks healthy and shiny because of this terrific product. It is thick like vasoline.

I've tried many pomades and gels and haven't really found the right product. Everything is either too thick or doesn't have a strong hold. This pomade is absolutely amazing! It has a medium-strong hold but also feels very light. With this a little goes a long way. I've had this for a few months and still have about half left. There is a larger version of this option which is the better deal, but if you don't use pomade as much or want to try this out go with this smaller option. I will definitely be ordering this again when i run out!

I LOVE DAX products but this vegetable pomade caused itching and broke out my skin when I used it on my edges :(. I had itchy pimple like bumps on the edges of my hairline after using this, but I simply used some benzoyl peroxide cream to get rid of the bumps and hydrocortisone cream for the itching. I don't do too well with vegetable oils; if they aren't healthy to eat in food, then it's probably a no no for hair and skin too. The good thing about this pomade is that it is great for super dry hair like I have. I have ethnic relaxed hair. Dry hair and eczema run in my family, so somewhat greasy hair products are better for me. On the other hand, I do use this product on my son's dry curly hair, so it did not go to waste at all, it's just not for me. If you have sensitive skin or an overall sensitive body/system, I would not recommend this particular product. DAX has other products that suit me much better! XOXO
