Junie B. Jones Has a Monster Under Her Bed (Junie B. Jones, No. 8) Paperback – June 24, 1997

So, as an elementary school teacher I have read some reviews which say the JBJ books are not funny and are rude. Well, it is important to explain to children that Junie B. hasn't learned total correct behavior and that she is still learning. With that being said, I have loved this series since day one and my students love to hear me read these books to them. When there is a part that I think is a little rude, I stop and say "of course, WE wouldn't say this or act in this manner. There are always consequences to Junie's "bad behavior" and I think it is a learning tool for children, plus this series is just plain fun to read out loud.

All of my kids have loved the Junie B books, they are great for boys and girls. The writing is simple and humerus. Junie is very naughty most of the time but the kids love her and can relate to her. Certainly worth the buy. I bought this book used and it came in good condition as described.

My 5 year old son loves Junie B. I loved her as a kid but as a parent I’m realizing how sassy she is! This book is a little on the scary side for my sensitive boy. He did wake up in the night the first night we read it, but after talking about how monsters aren’t real we did finish the book over the course of the week with no more night-time wake ups!

My seven year old daughter LOVES the Junie B. Jones books. Reading has never been something that she has been overly found of; however, she will sit down and read an entire Junie B. Jones book in one weekend. These may not be the best written books when it comes to grammar and proper word use, but if this series of books can ignite my daughters love of reading, then they are worth every penny.

I like Junie B Jones books so I wanted to complete the Junie B Jones book collection.

Bought for our 4 year old granddaughter. This is her first chapter book. Read a chapter every night before bed. Also, first time to use a book marker. Made her feel like a big girl. She loves this feisty little girl, who is in kindergarten.
