True to size and made well
I have worn rubber boots my whole life, but these are by far the best pair I have ever owned. I have large feet for a woman and have a hard time finding boots that will fit me. These are true to size and very well made. I love how you can fold them down to make them short if you don't need all of the boot. You can even dress the outfit up since there is a print on the inside! Lastly, the grip on the sole is for real. I live where there is a lot of ice and I never worry about slipping when I have them on.

True to size-good quality--and CUTE!!
I bought these boots to traipse around in the mud and rain with my dog during our frequent Washington rains and I am soooo excited. I just got my boots yesterday, I wear a size 11 and they fit perfectly (true to size.) I'll be able to wear a thicker pair of socks without my feet feeling completely squished, but it might be a smidge snug if you're planning on wearing super thick socks--not sure yet. The top of the boot is tight to the calf (hence the 4 stars), especially if you tuck your pants in so they don't get wet. (I have softball calves.) However, since these are fishing boots, I imagine that it makes sense that that calves are tighter so water doesn't come in from the top if you're wearing waders??? It's not uncomfortably- cut off your circulation tight, but it does make the ankle area feel pretty loose when the calf is so securely snug in place. (I have issues with tight fitting items so I'll update later if it becomes an issue.) Not sure if that was the intent with the design or if they just have smaller calves. If not, I'd like to make a suggestion to the company that they increase the circumference of the top of the boot by just a few cm--then they'd be perfect. The boots are soft and flexible, there is a nice little bit of cushion in the sole, not like other brands/types of rain boots. These feel like they are made to last. Since I've gone through 5 pair of rain boots in 6 years, I'm really looking for longevity and comfort. I'll update after a few months or so. **Their packaging specifically (and the boots, a little) do have a rubber smell so if you're sensitive to chemical scents, toss the box and wrapping fast and let the boots off gas for a day outside, in the sun if possible. I have MCS and once I got rid of the box and plastic it came in, I was fine. The boots are sitting inside by the door and the smell has not bothered me.

Great boot!
Great boot and stylish as well! I get compliments all the time on how cute these are, but I am most impressed by their comfort and durability! Not to mention they fit well with wider legs.

Something wrong
Ok I have worn xtra tuff before but something is not right with the pair I got.I wear a size 10 and ordered an 11 so I wear them with wool socks and that wasn’t the problem. The plastic bag that each boot was in was sticky against the boot. It’s like it was sweating. It was sticky to the touch and when I wiped it some brown color got in the paper towel. I rinsed them and tried to dry them but they would not get dry. It’s like they were oozing dampness on the outer side.Returned them. Too bad. Because they fit great and look great.

Pricey, not lovely, but light, comfortable, and 100% dry
I needed a real pair of rain boots, and after a lifetime on the coast of Maine and now south TX I don't have time for the pretty-but-useless kind, or boots that are too heavy or uncomfortable. These Xtratufs fit the bill very nicely. They're lightweight, absolutely leak-proof, have excellent traction, and the cute printed liner gives me the option to turn the tops down if weather permits and the whim strikes. What these boots are not: particularly attractive. They also aren't a snow boot, though with warm socks they'd be tolerable darting from the house to the car and running quick errands in all but the coldest weather. They run pretty true to size, and my pair is perhaps just a little on the small side if I had to decide, though they still fit.I'm happy with this purchase and giving four stars mainly for the higher price; they're great boots but $90-150 for any rubber boot (looking at you, too, Hunter) is steep. Still, I value dry, comfortable feet, and would buy these again.
