Quite a bit of speed increase
My older 2018 HP laptop only had a 2.4 wifi connection, and even though I have fiber optic internet with 1000mbps speed, it would only get 40-50, which was fine for streaming youtube or facebook. But, sometimes it would struggle to watch HD videos on prime. Since this laptop doesn't have a inner wifi card update, I tried this AC600 USB adapter. I disabled the internal wifi and plugged in the antenna. It initially works as soon as I plugged it in, but was using the generic driver that was already in my computer. I was getting 120 speed, but only on downloads. Speedtest.com wouldn't read upload speed. Decided to insert the CD that came with the AC600 and it loaded the correct driver. The driver on the CD was from 2018, but the speed was pretty good for my use. This wifi adapter took me from 50mbps to 250mbps and an upload speed from 47mbps to 203mbps. No complaints other than I haven't seen a "remember wifi password" when I connected. I haven't restarted the laptop yet. We'll see if it automatically connects me or not.

Wow. Speeds went from 4mbps to 200+ mbps
I don't write many reviews, but this product is awesome. My wife and I kept having problems with slow speeds on our PCs in the bedroom, which is stupid because we're paying for top-of-the-line, super-fast Wi-Fi 6 internet. I switched out our old adapters to these new ones (we bought the AX1800 version, used for $25 each), and instantly our speeds skyrocketed. No more 10-hour downloads for a Fortnite update when we're trying to play with the kids. I am very happy with this product so far.The only issue I had was that I had to mess with them a lot to get them working. For both of them, I had to search for the drivers online using the actual model number, which is Archer TX21UH; I didn't know that ahead of time, and I was searching under AX1800, and I got nowhere. Once I found and installed the drivers, I still had to unplug the old one, reboot, and adjust network settings. On one of them, I even had to go into the device manager, network adapters, TP-link 2 (since the old one was also a TP-link), and update drivers, and then it worked (even though I already downloaded the drivers?). Either way, got it all done in 20 minutes, and it was worth it.

Works even better than expected
Love this! This could not have worked any better. I purchased the USB wireless adapter for my PC because I am renovating my home office where the router is and the PC was hardwired with RJ45 cable. When I moved it to another room without a wire I had to go wireless. The adapter connected flawlessly and just worked right away. To my surprise and delight, it significantly increased the speed too. I think my outdated Ethernet card was choking the bandwidth because I now get over 200 Mbs with WiFi, and I don't need a cable. Win-win!

Bring WiFi to ancient tech
If you are like me, you have a collection of old computers that are still functional but not 100% up to date. One of my hobbies is taking old Dell and HP office computers and turning them into low end gaming systems. Almost all of them lack any kind of wireless networking. Enter USB wifi adapters.Installation is ultra simple - plug it in a USB A outlet. Drivers installed and away we went.I gave it 4 stars for one reason - its easy to break. Not because its flimsy but because its a large item sticking out of a USB plug. The large antenna is great for getting good signal. It is not great if you have ANYTHING moving around the USB plug you choose - children, cats, dogs, etc. I wouldn't use this on an old laptop either. There are plenty of USB wifi adapters without antennas that work in those situations.Overall a great product with one big qualifier.

Does exactly what I ordered it for
I have a desktop PC I inherited from an office where it was hardwired to the network, so had no wireless card. I use it in my laser-engraving shop that's accessible only by Wi-Fi, and this was among the most inexpensive wireless adapters. Installation was absolutely trouble-free; I just followed the clearly written instructions and was surfing the Web less than 10 minutes after I opened the box! I'm very satisfied with the unit's ease of installation, background "invisibility" after it's installed, and the quite high transfer speeds it achieved. Amazing performance for almost no money!

Inexpensive and easy way to connect to WIFI
This was exactly I needed for my PC which did not able to connect WIFI since the PC wifi adapeter stopped working and my new router had WPA3 security protocol. After connecting this adapte rusing USB port , It instlled the driver and I was easily connect to my home wifi network which was WPA3, very inexpensive way to connect older computer which does not support new wifi standards. The speed is amazing as well/
