This light is solid for the money. I also have several surefire lights including the lawman r1. This streamlight stinger I really admire. It's quality built. It is 400 lumens lower than my lawman but it's not that noticeable of a difference. This light is blindingly bright. Love the tail switch and that all you do is hold it down to cycle between power levels. The one thing this light has over the lawman r1 is the readily available aftermarket parts available. For example, try to purchase an aftermarket oem battery for the lawman; its non existent. Without their proprietary battery you will only get 750 lumens from the r1. I have read nothing but raving reviews about the streamlight stinger family and I can see why. I have read a couple of negative reviews about a few stingers that failed but those are few and far between. I had to send in my lawman r1 for an internal electronics issue. Surefire sent me a new light but I'm just pointing out that any piece of electronics will have a certain percentage of units that fail. You will not regret purchasing this light.I Did purchase the piggy back model that came with an ac and dc charging cable set up. The only complaint is the charge time of 9 hours to fully charge a battery. Also the charger red light has no way of telling you that the battery is fully charged( will not blink -unless charging lithium ion battery - and does not turn color.) It comes with a spare battery already in the piggy back so you get 2 batteries already included so for the average citizen it should fulfill your needs. Also purchased a 2hour fast charger and one more nimh battery that should arrive this coming week. Will keep the fast charger in the car with the supplied dc cig lighter cable.Great setup for anyone in LE or security or just the average citizen looking for a great rechargeable flashlight setup.ProsJust the right size. The Streamlight has excellent battery life and even comes with a spare battery. This Flashlight can also be bought with the piggyback charger. This charger allows you to not only charge the spare battery but you can charge the battery that is in the flashlight at the same time. The charger comes with both a wall charger and an AC converter so you can charge in a car as well.This combination of features and battery life makes this flashlight a great buy for not only law enforcement but for the average consumer as well. This flashlight is made from aircraft grade aluminum and is made durable to withstand a one meter drop and is even water resistant. It also has a 640 lumen output.If you are looking for a durable and lasting flashlight, the Stinger Streamlight should be on your list. I have had this flashlight for a little over a year and a half now and it has never let me down. 140 dollars might seem expensive for a flashlight but you are definitely getting your money’s worth. The light is meant to be left on the charger until you are ready to use it, so there is no battery life erosion.The Stinger Steamlight has proven itself to me time and time again. I am positive it will do the same for you. It has been ideal for times when the power has gone out and is bright enough to light up entire rooms. It is also strong enough to light up entire areas of campus at night. Whether you are on the job or left in the dark, this flashlight is the one for you. That is why I am giving it full stars. The media could not be loaded. Best flashlight I’ve found. I love that this product came with two charging ports and two different style cords (one for outlet and one for vehicle). It’s durable and long battery life. I also really love the dual switch feature, in a high stress or tactical situation the last thing you want to worry about is being restricted on getting your flashlight on. Powerful light, and not heavy. Well worth the money! Highly recommend for law enforcement / security.

Had the lower lumen of these in the air force. The durability of these are insane. I got one for work and it has enough lumens that I can see it easily on the ceiling above at 45 feet. This also came with a spare battery and the charger with the ac and DC plugs to charge in the car or home. Can't say enough good graces of these lights worth every dollar.
