I buy the Native Forest peaches, pears, and pineapple slices. I think they're all delicious. The pineapple slices might be my favorite, I throw the can in the refrigerator the night before I eat them, makes them taste even better.BPA issue -- Random Native Forest reviews here on amazon had concerns about BPA in the cans so I emailed Edward and Son's (company that makes Native Forest brand) about the cans to find out the truth. The pineapples, pears, and peaches were on the list of BPA free cans that they emailed me back. The asparagus and baby corn that I bought were not, so i stopped buying them.As I did with my review of the peaches, I'll post the list of BPA free cans that I was given in the email in the comments. For those of you who don't care about the BPA issue, you should just know these are delicious.

This is the worst canned pineapple I have ever tried. The good reviews were in the Spring. Is that a factor? I ordered in Oct. 2013. Was this a different crop?This pineapple does not taste good and was so hard I could not eat it. I put in in my vitamix and powered it up. I got a grainy juice.I added Stevia and vanilla and poured it over cottage cheese and ate it. Five more cans to go.I ordered Native Forrest canned peaches after reading a couple of good reviews. I donated those to Goodwill and I doubt a homeless person would eat those nasty peaches. I choose organic food whenever possible but will never buy Native Forrest organic canned foods again. Organic foods typically taste better, but, corporate organic food industry is here. Hard tasteless organic apples appearing in my grocery store. Organic prices for tasteless fruit. SCREAM!On a positive note, I got a bag of organic Fuji apples this week, crisp, juicy and aroma filled the room. Season is likely a factor in fresh foods.

These were just what I was hoping for. Not too sweet, not to soft or firm, and organic to boot. They're as fresh as you can possibly expect from canned fruit, and a great alternative for when fresh pineapple isn't available.

I enjoy fresh pineapple. So I decided to try this organic - non gmo canned, as a back up and keep some for winter. I got the 6 can case. The pineapple is not flavorful at room temperature. It was flat and tasteless. So 4 stars.. I refrigerated some and tried it cold and that helped revive it somewhat. It’s not sweet but slightly tart and it’s labeled as such.I’d say it’s OK in a pinch but not my favorite.

This is the only pineapple I can find without citric acid. Great flavor. I like to grill mine and it grills nicely. I use the juice in a marinade so I don’t waste a bit.

Love the product. Half the cans arrive dented, and if you order anything else at the same time they also get damaged due to the heavy cans squishing things in transit. Give 5 stars to the product, 2 stars to the shipping. Maybe order as a standalone item to have better luck.
