I got these at the start of the year and waited a while to see how they worked out. For recording, they are excellent and I had no problems connecting to my PC. The 4.5" speakers have enough power for home use and can keep up with a guitar amp at home volumes. The cables for connecting the speakers were a bit short for my needs so I bought some 16 gauge wire and that was adequate. The slave speaker is 4 Ohms, 25 watt so up to 25 feet, 16 is fine. If you want longer, go with 14 gauge.The Bluetooth connection is simple and convenient. It turns these monitors into something very convenient and I wish more manufacturers would incorporate it. Being able to connect your phone or tablet is just fun. Something I think matters in a product in this category. No cables to listen to music on your phone, no messing about or booting up the computer.There are plenty of connections on the speaker and they will likely suit most home users. These are not high end studio monitors. For home use, this is actually quite a positive and part of the reason I wanted them. Professional studio monitors are extremely directional. These are, as all speakers, somewhat directional but they can fill a small room and be treated as a nice set of home stereo speakers. That may not suit pros but, if you are a pro, you will already know that and be looking for something specific. For music enthusiasts, creators and general home use, I think you'd be hard pressed to find a more compelling product. I do fancy the subwoofer but honestly, they sound good enough for what I use them for and I don't really need to shake the whole house.So, I'd definitely recommend them for home use and general listening. They would be good for a gamer that wants something better than your typical PC speakers, these really are a massive upgrade at a reasonable price. 4.5" is generally a good place for home use and that quality vs cost sweet spot. If you need something for the pro studio, these aren't that but you'd already know that if you did. More than enough for the vast majority though. They look good, sound good, work well, have Bluetooth, lots of common connections and all you need is some speaker wire if you want to separate them across a small room for a small stereo speaker system. They tick a lot of boxes and deserve to be praised.

Despite bad reviews online by so-called experts these speakers produce sound that is more than adequate. You can adjust the bass and treble on the rear of the cab but the source of the sound has to match the speaker in quality. I use a PreSonus Quantum ES2 with these speakers on an iMac so they are well matched. The BT also works well. If you want more bass then there is a sub woofer available (but not cheap). Those are the good points.However I do have a few criticisms; the included cables are next to useless. An RCA cable pair split into 1 audio which is so short you'd need a laptop right on top of the speakers to connect. Also TRS sockets but no included cables to connect to their own audio interfaces. More expense buying TRS cables. At the moment I'm using the BT.Apart from the cons they are worth the money, the cabs are decent materials, and should last a while.

I got these after 2 more expensive sets failed me:IK Micro-Loud - too much hiss, unjustifiable at their high cost, so returned.Logi Z407 - sounded mediocre with boomy out of sync base, poor vocals, returned.I gave up and returned to using my MacBook Pro 14" speakers. Then I saw these Eris 3.5 units on sale and thought why not try. They actually sound really decent for the money. Maybe not the same as a pair of £500 genelecs, but really for near £70 they are just really solid with near flawless sound and no loud hiss, and a clear step up from my MacBook audio. Might have expected more if they're expensive, but at this price level they're an easy 5 stars. Love the aux-in and headphone jack both being on the front too alongside the power button. Odd choice to have controls/power on left speakers, but that's a very minor quirk. Well done PreSonus!

Its certainty not your professional monitor speakers, but it is still a great buy of everyday users. It offers great range of volume, which in my opinion is loud enough for most of us. But one downside is that for everyday use, you might want a pair of smaller speakers, because they do take up quite some space on my desk. Luckily I am using a monitor stand and I was able to shove them under my monitor, so it won't use up as much space.

I love these monitors and they have been a good addition to my little studio. I love the Bluetooth component too and helps me when I just want to play music without needing my laptop

This is the first Sub I have purchased based on good reviews. It's well made and compact enough for it to fit in the space I created for it. I have coupled it up with iLoud micro speaker monitors. I only have the volume set at about 20% on the sub to give a balanced sound with 80db cut.
