These might look pricey but they are the highest quality. I use them for the sliding doors in my living room. I think they might be too strong for standard weight kitchen doors. They are brilliantly damped and their adjustment is really helpful in setting the door closure gap. They cope admirably with my toddler's vicious sliding of the door and that is a compliment in itself. All in all, a great product that I can't fault.

Pointless and not for heavy doors at all

This is a perfect retrofit, and works perfectly well. Pros: Heavy duty, solid metal construction. Easy to install (two screws, then will click in place) end is easy to regulate spring tension for a perfect soft action. Cons: quite expensive, only comes in pairs (and if you need an odd number?)

Extremely well made

Didn't work at all. Door still slammed. And even worse I wasn't able to return them. I printed out the label and paid the postage but it was rejected and sent back to me so now I'm out of postage I can't return it.

Tried to use these to control the closure of a blanket chest but the travel is too short and the spring of insufficient strength to take the weight.

Well made, extremely sturdy, adjustable and reliable. I researched other products but most were made of plastic. This product is built like a tank and will probably last for ever. They arrived promptly from the supplier, fitted them in no time and thankfully my cupboard doors no longer SLAM SHUT..... thank you.
