Your printer might complain.
Our HP printer complains that this is not an HP product, but is functioning fine with this cartridge. The only thing I noticed is that the printer won't report the installed on date, so I wrote it with permanent marker on the cartridge. It was half the price of the HP branded cartridge so I'm very happy.

Defective off-brand replacement
I bought this toner cartridge to replace the black toner in my HP LaserJet 180nw. Immediately after replacing the cartridge, the print quality of the printer went extremely downhill, even worse than the poor quality I was getting with a dying OEM cartridge.This cartridge caused grey "ghosting" and horizontal roller marks throughout the entire page, except for where it was supposed to be printing black. This meant that the only part of the white page that remained white was the margins on the lines that had black printed on them on purpose.I can't speak to any other aspects of the cartridge (aside from it appearing to be built solidly), but even at less than half the price of an OEM cartridge, the severely poor print quality totally doesn't make this purchase worth it.
