A reliable powerful and modern router with a very good app
I already own an older Asus router so now the family's needs are expanding and it's time to upgrade, my good experiences with Asus and their (for me at least) great app led me to buy this newer version.Setup was very easy and although not much in the way of WiFi7 "stuff" is about yet, this should keep me future-proofed for a few years. So far I've had no drop-outs or disconnections and it seems stable in use. There are however a few minor niggles: the firmware is in its infancy so it's a little "buggy" in places, though Asus are very good at updates so I'm hopeful that this will mature into another really good Asus router. One such niggle is that once WiFi7 and "SmartConnect" is set, you can't adjust it from either the app and even in the main logon settings it's impossible to change without resetting the WiFi channels/passwords - a right faff. So if you've got older WiFi stuff, consider seperate channels/passwords & disabling Smart Connect as you do your initial setup.Otherwise though so far so good; it's a powerful router that gives a good and reliable wireless signal around the entire house. And that is exactly what I wanted, so I'm very happy.

Just excellent
The best modem router ever. Easy to setup, reliable, powerful and good value for money. I use pro ASUS router for 10 years now. And this is the best and most mature with all the WiFi bands available. No issues at all and extremely steady with WAN and VPN server and VPN fusion

Top router with limited range
great router with top speeds but if you have bigger house or 2 floors, you need 2 of them as the range is limited

Top notch router
Working very well so far. Always trust Asus for their high quality gear. Not the most intuitive setup, but I would expect that for the more advanced routers. Still fairly easy to get up and running quickly.

Avoid, especially if you're with Virgin
OMG. No. Just, no. Hours spent struggling with this. No WiFi output. Uploaded the new firmware manually etc. Tried everything to no avail. Webportal is OK but the app is rubbish. Note also that the plug extends past the wall bracket so it cannot be mounted properly it also disconnects easily so I'm thinking they realised the problem and made it so the plug is pushed in when wall mounted. Trash product.

Great piece of kit! Get one, you won't regret it :)
Bought the Asus RT-BE92U to upgrade from my Virgin Hub3Using it with my Virgin hub in modem mode for a few weeks now and it's literally a night and day difference in terms of range and bandwidth, as well as switching from one frequency band to another (of the three available bands, not so with my previous router it would hang my apps everytime it switched band) - with my 5 kids we have a great many devices connected including 5 consoles 7 phones plus tablets and computers and laptops and much more miscellaneous devices - it never drops out so far and everyone has speed when they need it.My speed tests are literally using my entire broadband speed, no matter how many of us connect to it :)Not so hard to set up and great schedule controlls for multiple kids, as you can group devices together under single schedules - no more sneaking to bed with phones to be awake all night watching youtube!I've not set up the IoT yet as we don't use such things but now we're in a position to try it so we will be doing that soon. Also it's quite easy to setup a guest network and create a QR code for guests to quickly scan and get wifi.So far, I highly recommend it!

Poor range. Poor compatibility
Fast at point blank range with MLO enabled. Maxed out my 1gbps internetGo one room away and and speed halves to 450-500. Go 15-20ft away in another room (hardly a big house) and speeds drop to 120mbps. Less than the wifi 5 default router that came with my provider. And whislt android phones connect fine, the iPhone users in the house had drop outs. Finally, windows enabled fully updated laptop connects and shows no internet (but is happy with mobile hotspot from my ohone or the old router)... And it doesnt matter if MLO is on or off, whether its set to 2.4, 5 or 6ghz, or wifi 7 on or off.Too much hassell for absolutely no gain. Waste of money

Power cable not secure, poor interface.
It's a dumbed down for home user router. Every change you make it has to reboot, without the option to reboot later. It makes setting the router up tedious. The interface is designed for "gamers", as in, large fonts and 'cool' graphics to wow a teenager. Rather than a normal practical interface. There's a bug on the initial setup, where sometimes when you type to enter a password, it doesn't register some key presses. Making it even more frustrating to use.All the AI features are BS. Really unnecessary. The most frustrating thing of all, is the power cable isn't secure at all. Wiggling the power cable will cause it to power cycle. It's very frustrating and is probably the deal breaker for me.
