Why did you pick this product vs others?:It's about time I purchased one of these!! I have 2 dogs. Both are rescues. One 'came from the streets' and regresses and marks from time to time. You can only spot clean so much before it just isn't working anymore. While I was using it, clumps of dog hair kept spitting out. At first I wondered if it wasn't working and was upset. But then I realized it's better to have to hand pick some clumps up than to have all of that clog up the shampooer and wherever you dump the container of filth. So I came here and read back through the Reviews. Others made the same comment of this happening, but that it's for the good. The water was definitely black and soupy! It worked really good!!!!

I bought this to clean a light beige carpet in a room about 10' x 12'. It was heavily spotted with coffee spills. If this didn't work, the organization that purchased it would have to spend a lot of money to replace the carpet. So buying this Bissell was a last ditch effort to save money. We pretreated the spots with a popular carpet spot cleaner (also purchased on Amazon) and brushed them. I put the machine together which was easy and took me about 5 minutes. The instruction book is simple to understand and easy to follow. I filled up the container that holds warm water and the cleaning solution and followed the directions in the instruction book to clean. I went over each section several times to suck out excess water. It took about an hour to really work this room, but you should have seen the BROWN, dirty water that came out of this carpet! Oh my! In the end, the carpet looked really good and the majority of spots were gone! I found it easy and light weight to use. The cleaning fluid provided is a very small bottle and I used almost the whole bottle. I have enough left to spot clean. I whole-heartedly recommend this machine for small jobs. Just take your time and give yourself enough time to do a good job.

I still need new carpet, it’s 15 years old. Just waiting for cooler weather. Never in a million years did I think it would work this well. I looked at the before and after picks and thought if it works 1/2 as well I’d be happy. I’m more than happy, pics are not the same as in person. It looks better than my pics. Assembly is quick and easy, cleaning the machine is easy. Price is more than fair. Had no leaks, no issues. I did use a full bottle of cleaner but it was bad. Went over hard spots a few times. Dirty water container fills up quick but don’t see it as a negative. Sucks up quick and was dry in a few hours.

Works well for what I bought it for. We clean our 8x10 area rug that our dog spends a lot of time on. Really sucked the dirty cleaning moisture out to allow a quick dry time, but follow the instructions to get the best results. The fact that it’s an upright is a blessing over the kind you have to kneel for. It also has a power brush to help get the carpet cleaner. I’d say a good buy for the money.

This machine works terrific from the Hoover I bought from Amazon. But time will tell, the other one worked once and then when I went to use it for the second time the brushes stopped working. But the Bissell gave a deep clean on my carpets upstairs and the area rug downstairs using it the first time.

i love this carpet shampooer. i have a shark vacuum that broke after 3 months half way through carpet cleaning. i would vacuum a room then shampoo it. Since the vacuum broke. I did the rest of the areas with just the shampoo and it picked up everything. I have pets and it is wonderful!

As an owner of a senior dog who often has accidents this carpet cleaner using Bissell’s Pet Pro Oxy Spot &Stain is a game changer. Lightweight, easy setup and cleanup. I’ve done entire 10x12 foot rooms as well as spot cleaning immediately after my dog has peed on the carpet. No stains remain. Highly recommend.
