It has exceeded my expectations.Excellent chapters on various modes, chords etc. used in Irish music. It has a chapter on learning by earn that breaks down the process. Its one of the best descriptions Ive seen on that topic. . Has online tune clips to go along with examples and practice with. The information presented is essential for writing arrangements, not just backup.

This book is great. It covers a lot of material to get you started playing in Irish sessions. It's not as simple as playing chords under the melody.

Excellent book, written in a way that novices and experienced musicians can get something out of it.
