Still going strong after five summers!
I put this up again today, for the 5th year running - so I thought that I really should leave a review as it has been such a great buy. It's certainly proved value for money and makes all the difference to the comfort of my house in summer - It keeps my small patio usable right through the hottest summer days and also shields my (SE facing) kitchen window and back door from the sun in the late morning which keeps my whole house cooler. The saving in electricity from the otherwise stressed out fridge and freezer has probably paid for the sail.I store the sail folded in my garage over the winter and bring it out once the sun starts to get too hot for comfort in late spring each year. The galvanised fittings (bought elsewhere) just stay in place all year round, so it only takes about 20 minutes to put up or take down.My key tip for installation is to use at least 3 turnbuckles (on a rectangular sail) - the 4th mounting point doesn't need to be adjustable as long as the other three are.You then need to hook up the sail to your 4 fixing points, which should be positioned so that even with the turnbuckles fully extended there is very little slack in the sail. Now tighten up the turnbuckles so that the sail is drum tight and has no wrinkles in it (this is where you need three adjustment points, in order to pull out wrinkles in any axis). If there is the slightest slack in the sail then it will collect rainwater, which will make it sag (and then collect even more rain). Obviously the sail should also be fixed at a slight angle to allow rain to run off easily.I nearly always find that my initial fitting isn't quite tight enough and that the first time it rains some water collects at the lowest edge. I'll then tighten it up a bit more and that'll then be fine for the rest of the season. Can't recommend it enough - it has allowed me to enjoy sitting in my garden on many more days than I would otherwise be able to and the comfort inside my house on hot summer days is also much improved.I would buy another identical one straight away if this one ever wears out.

Customer Service
This shade sail is one of the best that I have used. I purchased from the same seller back in 2022 and it was time for a new one as the old one had been outside for over two years.Thank you again

I Was not impressed at first
3.6 x3.6 m Sand colour., I Was not impressed at first the Shade Sails seam down the middle is gathered in places and not been stretched out in the sewing, I had it tensioned using ratchet straps for 3 days and it still sagged and wrinkles in the seam of folds. I've tried everything to overcome this the outside edges are so tight you could play tune on them and still the middle sags, for rain water to collect and run off, I didn’t want to keep checking the weather forecast and take it down every time it rained as one day I may forget. The best solution I found was to use 6mm turnbuckles on each corner ,I mounted 2 point on the Bungalow 4m centres just under the gutter into joists at 2.4 m high, one corner to a 100mm sq wooden fencing post with a concrete spur post lent back away from sail at @5 degs 2.2 m high and last one at 1.5m high to a wall this give a twist in the sail allowing rain to run off and not to puddle in the middle and turn into a pond . With this solution it survived a thunderstorm with no collection of water.Item I purchased to install this Sun Sail 2x stainless 4x 8mm lifting eye wood screws, 2mm 10m stainless wire, 4x 6mm stainless Turnbuckles with hook at both ends, 4x 2mm stainless wire rope grip clamp. 4x 2mm stainless wire rope clamp thimble and 4x 5mm stainless Carabiner Snap hooks. I had trouble sourcing 12.5 sq post as recommended in the fitting instructions supplied so I used a 1x 3m 100mm sq wooden post with a postsaver applied 100mm sq 120cm long concrete spur with 12mm coach bolts to suit, 6x 20kg of post mix cement a small 20 kg of pea gravel , 2x 25mm ratchet straps which in all cost more a lot more than the price of sun sail. It was worth Mrs very happy with sun sail and looks good.

Not great
The concept of this is great, but the execution is a bit poor. It is not 'square' as listed, so in order to hang it correctly and keep it taught, you have to measure at least a foot outward diagonally, which means that you loose shade near the house or edges of property, as the shade can only be over center. We ordered the largest size, expecting to attach it flush to the house and then to our fence, and are unable to do that, because of this issue with not being squared. It also sags in the middle, which means even hung slanted/angled any rain water will settle on it, rather than run off of it, and if any water sits on it, it causes it to sag more. As long as you make it easy to take down and rehang when needed, it is fine, but I purchased this with the idea of being able to keep it up during most of the summer and not have to take it down all the time, and unfortunately that isn't an option, so using the rope is useless. We had to buy ratchet straps in order to remove it attach it as needed, which defeated the purpose of buying this in place of a new easy up canopy, because we didn't want to take it down all the time. Just keep these things in mind if you purchase this product. I would have gone for a canopy had I known all the issues.
